Question for Ian/Dave

Hi, did great on the mainshaft from the crank by cleaning it up for all twelve units. Had a tap that was originally improper, switched to another brand and it worked as if from the factory to clean threads on both the mainshaft and the nuts.

Now, could use some confirmation of the thread size for the timing side of the flywheels. I measure it as 9/16 x 20 BSW. Is that correct or should it be BSC as well?

Thanks for your time.....

Re: Question for Ian/Dave

Hi Henri,

Ian and Robb just answered to me on the same Question some time ago:

The nut is 1/2 - 20 TPI BSCY (CEI). (60 degree included angle)-(Robb)

It is the same thread as the timing side mainshaft...(Ian)

If it is an M20 (?)
