Front footrest nut.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what is the correct thread for the diver's footrest spindle nut for a WM20?
I lost one and cannot find this info..

Thanks,
Noam.

Re: Front footrest nut.

If my memory serves me correctly they are 1/2"x26 cycle thread...but there is a slim chance they are 1/2"x20 cycle thread. If you have a 1/2" UNF nut lying about you could try that. At 1/2" UNF is also 20 tpi and you would soon deduce if that is correct!...Ian

Re: Front footrest nut.

Hi Noam,

I'm drawing parts on Autocad (semi retired engineer)and really need something to do.

The nut is 1/2 - 20 TPI BSCY (CEI). (60 degree included angle)

Thank you very much Ian and Robb!

by the way, I did not check it, but I was told it should be the same thread as flywheel, timing side?...

Re: Front footrest nut.

These nuts are easy to get, Nooky's nuts sells them and they have good quality nuts and bolts of which many are a good fit on an M20. Also reduced head sizes as fitted on the M20 are available at Nooky's. We always buy a few bags of nuts when we see them at an auto-jumble like Stafford.
