bsa m20 - help needed

Just rebuilding my bsa wm20. I have a spacer and I am not sure where it goes. It measures 10mm bore size, 6mm thick and 24mm wide.

My two options for this spacer are:
1. Is it the front engine plate, right hand side between engine plate and rear sub frame or
2. Is it rear brake adjustment plate to the frame?

Does anyone have any ideas which one it is.
Cheers

Re: bsa m20 - help needed

Hi Richard..could you clarify those dimensions?..inside diameter is 10mm (so it fits over a 3/8" stud). Could you give the figures for outside diameter and length?...Ian

When the sump guard lugs are missing (new type sump guard) you need a spacer at front bolt side. Or use a new shorter bolt. My frame also has a spacer.

The front frame stud is 7/16" dia. (11.09mm). So the spacer described wouldn't fit there with a bore of only .394" (10mm). Unless an undersized stud has been used...Ian

Thanks Lammert,

Can you send a pic of what it looks like on the bike?
I don't know if you are looking at the bike from the front, or sitting on the bike looking at the front.
