I live in Belgium and bought an M20 girder fork as a spare part. But the fork looks different from that one in my bike. (I own a complete M20). The previous owner told me he bought the fork at Netley Marsh in 1999.I know that seller and in my opinion he is very honest and I believed it. But now after inspecting the fork completely I'm in doubt. Was it made by BSA? Is it replica? Is it rubbish? Or is it of an older BSA? Was it possible to buy an Indian reproduction in 1999?
Some visible differences:
-There are no bronze bushes for the links.(iron on iron)
-The lugs on the bottom (wheel spindle) are thicker (heavier)
-The shock absorber centre nut is not flat, it is round and it's not possible to place the special locking washer.
-All the cast iron(??) lugs looks very rough and heavy.
I hope someone can help me.
Regards from Belgium, Eric
