As I swore my way down my icy driveway in a howling -20F wind I was very pleased to get a small parcel from Hans. The small wooden plaque dedicated to Sgt.Fife is now in North America. The idea on this end is to present it to the family on the morning of June 4th, as you guys are at the ceremony in France. I think it is somewhat symbolic to have both happen at the same time. I plan to deliver it on my 16H, a bit like a dispatch would be. I hope to also have James Custeau accompany me on his newly restored M20 if it will keep up with the Norton that is
That would be a great way to do it, having both events occur on the same day...but don't listen to Samuel....Like a DR veteran said to me in Normandy..'Some of the bikes were more fun but if you wanted to get there best take an M20'...(though his mate disagreed...so I guess some things don't change!)....Ian
