(very) pre-war contract WD 16H's being packed up for the Middle East (Palestine ???). Possibly Southampton Docks...???.....parts books/manuals still exist for this contract, showing the early air-filter in some detail....
Note the pre-war glossy "Brunswick green" factory finish.......
I wonder if these early WD 16H's were on a one-way trip ? It's possible pre-war that units kept their transport (bikes) to and from postings, rather than leaving them in-situ when they returned for the next unit to take over....after all, no wartime pressures at this time that would later affect transport movement....?
