A bit belatedly, I know, but I've just noticed that the Alan Rickman comedy, 'Blow Dry', about 'the national hairdressing championship in Keighley', is being shown on BBC1 tonight at 11.30pm. As it was mentioned a while ago in some thread or other, I thought it might be of interest to some of you.
Two reasons not to watch it.
1) Set in our fair town, but not filmed there.
2) If the critics are to be believed, it's rubbish, and a waste of an excellent cast.
Not Glusburn's favourite son Beaufoy's finest hour.
