For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing .

Tom D.,
I prefer that we not debate on Mary the Mother of Jesus; I don't want to dishonor Jesus' Mother, through this false prophet this pope. I respect Virgin Mary, and I'm glad that God found a worthy vessel to carry and give Virgin birth to our Savior.
I know Jesus loves His Mother, and I know Satan wants to drag the Lord's name through the muck or His Mother; therefore, I refuse to be part and partial to this. It just shows who the pope truly is, the false prophet.
Can't wait to see Jesus our Precious Savior, and Mary His Mother, to thank her, for giving birth to our Lord and for taking good care of Him here on Earth, like every good and godly Mother does caring for her child.
Maranatha!
Valerie
Valerie This is not a debate as you say in your article neither is it dishonoring Mary but a statement on what the Pope said on how Christians get their Salvation. I sent this to a Catholic friend of mine and he thanked me for it as he taught religion for 40 years in catholic schools and is now staring to realize what is going on.
Tom D., I didn't imply that you were debating, actually I was agreeing with the article. I just posted what I did, so that no one would start a debate on Mary,
as this has happened in the past. Therefore, as far as it stands it's still a discussion.
I total understand, it's that when someone mentions the name of Mary, others want to
attack her and the Catholic denomination. We have people on this forum who have come and who are in some way associated with this faith, through family, marriage, etc.....therefore, we want everyone to come to Jesus from all denominations.
I hope, I made myself clear, as I myself have come from this faith, until I was born again and Holy Spirit filled. Jesus is the only way to Salvation, there is no other way.
God Bless,
Valerie
Valerie Just so you know I was born and raised in this faith also.
Well said, Valerie! There are Catholics who are members of the Body of Christ. I'm hopeful that Pope John Paul II was one of them; if so, he'll be among the dead in Christ who will rise first. Alas, I fear that Pope Francis is not. I have a feeling that he'll end up being the leader of the one-world religion. If there is any religious organization with the financial means and the political clout to get that New-Age-based religion going, once we're gone in the Rapture, it's the Catholic church, and I can see no more likely person to run it than an apostate pope. Since the one-world religion will ride herd over the Antichrist throughout the first half of the Tribulation, it will need political clout, and the Catholic church has it. More and more, it's appearing that Pope Francis is an apostate pope. He is most definitely not a member of the Body of Christ (if only he was!).
And with that said, I've never been a Catholic myself. I've been a Southern Baptist since childhood.
Just something for us, as the Body of Christ, to think about concerning Mary...
I have the highest respect for Mary, she was Jesus' mother. The great "I AM THAT I AM" chose her over all of the young girls to carry and nurture our Lord and Savior. How she must have suffered to see her Son (God's Son through the Holy Spirit) on the cross and how He had been tortured and whipped and beaten before He was even hung on the cross. I have a lot of great aunts and great uncles who were Catholics before they passed away. My mother was confirmed when she was 13 or 14 (I think).
It is where they wear white and consecrate themselves to God. So I have great respect for the Catholic Church they do a lot of good in this sin filled world, but Satan knows there are a lot of people who consider themselves Catholic, so He will try to use their influence and put enough truth in His evil plans to pull people in. It is said Satan will use a connection with Mary to unite the Muslims with the Catholics to form the World Religion.
The Koran has many passages concerning the Blessed Virgin. First of all, the Koran believes in her Immaculate Conception, and also, in her Virgin Birth…..The Koran also has verses on the Annunciation, Visitation, and Nativity. Angels are pictured as accompanying the Blessed Mother and saying, Oh Mary, God has chosen you and purified you, and elected you above all the women of the earth. In the 19th chapter of the Koran there are 41 verses on Jesus and Mary.
Of course the sheep, who hear their Shepherd's voice, know that the Koran says that Jesus is a very important prophet but not the son of God which is the spirit of anti-christ. Mary was the mother of the Son of God, so the Mary in the Koran can not be the Mary of the Holy Bible.
Some believe the anti-christ and false prophet will take advantage of this common ground through the two Marys to form the New World Religion...
The muslims book declares that Jesus will come with their Mahdi/Iman/12th man (antichrist) and will be the Mahdi's supporter and will kill all the Christians that won't worship allah. Yes, they have Jesus in their book but as a MAN who will be the leader in killing Christians saying they were deceived. Sounds like the false prophet figure doesn't it.
Pope Francis has said a lot of wacky things since he took that title, not the least of which is that even athiests and non-christians will go to heaven. He is out there in la la land.
T.Sue,
Isn't it just like Satan to use someone possessed by a demon to say they are Jesus, to run around killing Christians in Jesus name!
Satan is evil incarnate!
I saw the new Iraqi money. It has a man riding a white horse on it. Maybe representing the soon coming anti-christ/ Mahdi?
T. Sue
I thought, for sure, I saw a rider on a horse, but it is a white horses head used as a watermark on the new Iraqi money. Sorry about the mistake.

Barak was the name of the white stallion that Mohammed rode on. Barack means ‘lightning’…Barack in Hebrew means ’lightning’ and in Islam it is a ‘flash of .light’. The Mahdi of Islam, the last Imam, that will come at the end of days and control the world and unite the world under Islam will appear on a white horse, a white stallion similar to the stallion that Mohammed rode on. On the new Iraqi money there is a watermark on the left side and it is a white horses head...
Satan seems to be trying to imitate Christ returning on a white horse in the clouds as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Chilling to think about! Thanks for getting the image for us, it definitely is a white horse's head and that is the symbol of the false Christ in the first seal opened in heaven.
Thank you for the article, Tom. I truly believe that he is the False Prophet in Revelation 13. And I say that as a person who used to be a die-hard Catholic.
I used to be a Catholic as a teenager into my late 20's. I prayed my rosary every day, (which included praying dozens of "Hail Mary's"), and made the sign of the cross and bowed down to the image of Jesus on the cross before I sat down on the pews in church before Mass. I did my sacrifices during the 40 days of Lent and gave up my favorite things in order to please God. I went to confession every week, and would partake of the Holy Eucharist. We were taught that the priest had the power to turn the bread of the Holy Eucharist into the body of Jesus. I believed what the church taught about "mortal" and "venial" sins, that the mortal sins were worse than the venial ones, and that mortal sins could send you to hell. We were taught that it was a mortal sin to miss Mass. I faithfully went to a class every week at the church called, "The Legion of Mary" where we would study about the Catholic doctrines and pair up to visit people in the convalescent homes and minister to them. I was a die-hard Catholic all the way. Oh, and BTW, I was born again when I was 18, and still remained a Catholic for many years until I left the church.
Why did I leave?
I would never read my Bible because the priests told us not to. They said that they were the only ones (besides the Pope) who could correctly interpret the Bible for us. But one day I got really curious as to why, so I picked up the Bible and started reading it from the beginning. When I got to Exodus 20, I noticed that the second commandment said not to make carved images or bow down to them. I was totally shocked! Didn't the Catholic church see that commandment? Quickly I went to my Catholic Bible, and to my amazement, the second commandment was totally removed, and they replaced it with taking the 10th commandment and split it into two commandments to replace the second commandment that says not to bow down to idols!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! The Catholic church changed the Lord's commandments! Now I saw why the priest told us not to read the Bible.
I left the Catholic church after that. I was totally disillusioned. It took me awhile to find a good Bible believing Baptist church that taught good doctrine. Even then, I still had the urge to bow down at the cross before I sat down. Old habits die hard.
I am saying all of this because if there are any Catholics out there, I know where you are coming from. I would just like to encourage you to read the Bible for yourself, and ask the Lord to illuminate the scriptures to you like He did me. Please believe me when I say that you can't be born again by praying to Mary like this article says. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." If you haven't done so already, ask Jesus into your heart. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. He is the One Who died for you and shed His blood, and took the penalty for your sins and mine so you could be in heaven with Him for all eternity.
Lisaleenie I am impressed with your testimony. I have many friends who are Catholic and pray for them to know the truth. Some of them I KNOW are born again but may not have read the Bible to know what it really says. I was shocked about the ten commandments being altered. Reminds me of the warning in Revelation about not adding to or taking away from the WORDS OF GOD.
Thanks for sharing and for the invitation to Jesus at the end of your remarks. That is a good thing for all denominations because now many of the mainline churches no longer give an invitation or explain how to be saved, born again. How many people sitting in a church pew think they will go to heaven just because they go to church? Probably a good number. God will hold the shepherds or leaders of these churches responsible for these lost souls.
Speaking of Catholic churches, read these quotes from The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, by Maria Augusta Trapp. This is one Catholic family who did read the Bible!
Some time before Ash Wednesday my husband and I were figuring out what we should do together with the children during the Season of Lent.
"You know what I really miss?" he said to me. "Catholics don't read the Bible as much as Protestants do. I wish that my children would get thoroughly acquainted with Holy Scriptures." (My husband had joined the Church only a year before I had come into the family.) "Let's start them with the New Testament and let's read it together every evening until Easter. And I guess I'll give up smoking," he continued, and this grave announcement was followed by a sigh which seemed to come up from the depths of the earth, because he was a heavy smoker.
Generosity calls for generosity.
"Then I won't even look at candy or any pastry," said I, and my sigh wasn't a bit different, because mine is a sweet tooth...
...It turned out to be a beautiful six weeks. The reading of the Gospels together proved to be wonderful. It proved to be the Book of Books, the only one in the whole world to which a four-year-old girl would listen with enraptured interest, while all the philosophers are not yet able to get to the bottom of its divine wisdom. (Chapter 6: "Feasts in a Family")
In looking back over the years we can discover how a red thread goes through the pattern of our life: the Will of God.
After the first Lent when my family had started to read the Gospel together and had since kept up this practice until it had turned into a habit, it became clearer all the time that this was the message Christ came upon earth to teach us. It is the heartpiece of our religion--of all religion--to do the Will of God.
And here we had found our guiding star which should lead us faithfully through all tempests into the final haven. (Chapter 11: "Never Again")
Thanks, Tx Sue, I appreciate your words of encouragement. I just felt so strongly impressed to say that for some reason.
Kathy G. I'm so glad to hear that some Catholics are reading the Bible!
Lisa...
Valerie is a catholic AND I know SHE READS THE BIBLE AND SHE LOVES THE LORD..NO QUESTION ABOUT IT..(caps for emphasis only)..so we need to be careful and not lump any denomination or judge the people in that denomination..no trying to be harsh or judgmental just reminding people that there are a lot of people who may read your posts, both saved and unsaved.
Lisaleenie,
I thank you too for sharing, and as Texas Sue stated below:
"Thanks for sharing and for the invitation to Jesus at the end of your remarks. That is a good thing for all denominations because now many of the mainline churches no longer give an invitation or explain how to be saved, born again. How many people sitting in a church pew think they will go to heaven just because they go to church? Probably a good number. God will hold the shepherds or leaders of these churches responsible for these lost souls."
All denominations need to hear the gospel or good news. Jesus stated you must be born again, in order to enter God's kingdom. This is why the door is open here to all, who want to come to Jesus, and accept Him and His sacrifice for their sins, acknowledging that Jesus died for all sinners. To accept the free, and paid in full,
gift of Salvation through Jesus, and eternal life in God's kingdom.
In Heaven, there will be no Baptists, Catholics Pentecostals, Lutherans, Anglicans,
etc. etc., there will only be those born again, true followers, who accepted Jesus, as their Lord and Savior. One Lord Jesus, & One Body of Christ Jesus! Amen!
Jesus, is our hope and salvation; there is no other way to God, but through His beloved Son Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen!
Maranatha!

Valerie and Lisaleenie
Valerie I was so impressed by your testimony. God will richly bless you. When people ask me what faith I am, I do not but a label on it. I tell them I am born again Believer in Jesus Christ.
Lisaleenie I know your heart is good. I can tell by your remarks and I will see you one day in Heaven. My heart was broken when you said you had terminal cancer. You will be in my prayers and best of all you have the peace of God and you Know where you are going.
I just want to send a (gentle) hug to Lisaleenie. My heart has joy each time your name comes up in a post because you have been so ill, yet you still reach out... God bless you sister in Christ.
My grandparents on one side were Catholic. My sister who is several years older than I, remembers visiting Grandma overnight. She said that Grandma wouldn't go to bed without having my sister on her knees with her, praying for all the grandchildren to know Jesus and be saved. There is no doubt in my mind that Grandma's prayers were answered when the Holy Spirit convicted me of sin and Jesus called me to leave it behind and accept Him as my Savior and Lord over my life. My sister much later in life returned to the Catholic church. I know from conversations that she truly trusts Jesus as her saviour. The same Holy Spirit who has worked in Lisaleenie and Valerie and me is certainly able to work in my sister and in all whom are called and chosen to belong to the Lord.
I thank God for allowing the internet to be made so we can fellowship together as we wait for the Lord to appear.
Thanks to God for you Lisaleenie and for Valerie and mods who are so faithful with this site.
We look to Jesus now together, the author and finisher of our faith.
God bless you Leenie, Valerie & all in Jesus name
Valerie, I enjoyed reading your testimony. I grew up in the Baptist church and appreciated that they taught the Word of God and encouraged daily Bible reading. In Sunday School we had "Sword Drills" which were contests to see who could find a book of the Bible the fastest so we would learn where all the books were placed in it. We memorized Bible verses and heard all the Bible stories, practiced praying and sang hymns. I loved being in church as a child and learned a lot; however, the Baptists in the churches I attended stopped short of the whole enchilada as they believed that miracles were not for today and no such thing as being baptized in the Holy Spirit.
As I grew up I had a problem with what I had been taught and what I read in the Bible. I read about all the miracles of healing and God providing for basic needs, then the verse that says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever really stuck in my brain like a velcro strip. It seemed to me that if Jesus was always the same and if in fact as He stated in the first chapter of Acts that He gave us all power and authority in the earth then we could also pray and see miracles of healing and provision.
Then I read Corrie Ten Boom's book, "The Hiding Place" where she recounted all the miracles God performed on her and her sister Betsy's behalf while they were in the German prison. She and her family in Holland had hidden Jews and helped them escape from the Nazi's, were caught and turned in to the Germans who put them in a concentration camp. This book was a life changer for me and reinforced my belief that God STILL does miraculous things for His own. About the same time I read Brother Andrew's book, "God's Smugglers" where he told of himself and other Christians who had smuggled Bibles into communist Russia and other countries behind the Iron Curtain. More miracles!!! That cemented the case for God's supernatural abilities for me.
Later in the late 1990's I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and more light was turned on in my spirit to receive the truth of God's Word. It's been quite a journey from my born again salvation experience at 17 to where I am now at 67. 50 fabulous years of God proving Himself to be a father to me, Jesus as my constant friend, Savior, and Lord, and Holy Spirit with me always, comforting, encouraging, instructing and occasionally giving me glimpses of God's secrets thru visions.
My grandmother's constant prayers for me brought me to Jesus for salvation. I would not be safe and saved today had it not been for her prayers. I attend a non-denominational church that believes in and practices all the gifts of the Holy Spirit that Paul talks about in the letters of the New Testament.
For all of the past 50 years of my new life I have been a rapture watcher and studied the prophecies of the Old and New Testament, watching the pieces come into place just as God thru all those prophets said they would. Today in September of 2014 from all I have seen it looks like our wait is just about over and so very soon we will all be together to enjoy God and each other's company forever. What a day that will be!
Lisaleenie,
I am so sorry to hear you have terminal cancer, and have been remembering you in my nightly prayers. May the Holy Spirit comfort you daily, during your trial here on Earth. For Heaven is but a breath away for each one of us, and no one knows when their day will come to depart from this Earth.
I empathise with you as I have gone through more things in my life concerning surgeries and health issues than most people, including cancer. It's a terrible
and trying ordeal to go through, and it is no respecter of whether young or old,
rich or poor, educated or illiterate it can hit anyone, anytime in their lives.
I went to aggressive breast cancer back in 2003, and not expected to live past 5 years tops, because the size of the cancerous tumor, and negative receptors, plus the fact I refused chemotherapy. God laid it on my heart, and I know it to be true, that the chemo would have killed me not the cancer, because I know better than anyone how my body reacts to drugs, and it's not very good at all. I was scolded by the chemo doctor, for my refusal, and was told straight in my face, that I would not survive, for more than 2 to 5 years tops without chemo if that. I only had surgery to remove the large tumor, and 25 radiation treatments, which burned my flesh almost raw. I told the doctor that God the Father would save me from certain death and that no matter what, God would heal me and make me well. He actually, laughed in my face, and hurt my feelings by saying, how do you know God isn't a she, and a Mother? Jesus taught us the Lord's prayer I replied, and prayed Our Father, not Our Mother in Heaven, he smurked and laughed again. It was time to leave and as I left, I told him you'll see, I'm putting my faith and trust in God, to give me more time on Earth, and heal me, of this cancer.
It's been 11 years this past Feb. since I was diagnosed; and I'm still going strong,
and no cancer to be found. I give the credit to God the Father for answering my prayers and the prayers of my family, and friends. God knew I still wanted to live long enough to see my first grandchild, that wouldn't be born yet until 2005, 2 years later. No only did I survive to see our first granddaughter, I survived to see my second granddaughter as well, thanks be to God.
Basically, this is how I prayed and left my life in God's hands.
I prayed, Lord, I want to live to see my grandchildren, at least my first grandchild, however, according to your will Lord, let your will be done unto me, not mine. Whether, I live or die, I know, you only want what is best for me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Lisaleenie, everyone of us are terminal, sooner or later we'll all die of something or another unless we're Raptured while still alive. Be it a serious disease like cancer, heart, etc., or old age. These are corruptible bodies we're living in, and only when Jesus comes at the Rapture, we will receive our incorruptible body, liken to our Lord Jesus.
I too can't wait to meet you in Heaven, and all the Brothers and Sisters that have gone before us, our dear family and friends who have passed on; but most of all,
to be with Jesus, is the most satisfaction a Christian can have knowing that
God is with us, and Evil no where to be found near us. No more tears or heartaches. No sickness, no dying, no suffering anymore, we'll be made whole. We'll be young, strong, and full of energy, vitality, vigor, joy unspeakable, when we see what Jesus has prepared for us who love Him. We will be free, at last, when we receive our incorruptible body liken unto the Lord's at the Rapture. A beautiful, perfect body, which will be incorruptible, liken unto the Lord's, for death, hell, & the grave will be swallowed up, for us, for Jesus will have won the victory over all of it.
O Death where is your sting?
In Jesus Love,
Valerie
Valerie, Lisa Leenie, T. Sue and everyone here:
What beautiful testimonies! They were such a blessing to me. I think when we get to heaven all of us here on RFTH will be gifted with the knowledge that people we have never met or talked to will say to us that they had been blessed with something we have written or testified about or a dream we posted. We never know how the Lord will use our words to bless others. Lisa after your testimony I think now no matter what denomination our readers belong to this will encourage them to read their Bibles. It never hurts to make sure everything being taught in the church one attends, lines up perfectly with scripture which was written as the Holy Spirit moved upon men to write. The church I attended was on track with what they taught but they also left a lot out. I didn't find this out until I was Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I had never heard of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit it just wasn't taught in my church.
Also I praise the Lord that we will receive new bodies that can not get sick or tired or worn out! I pray that the Lord heals you both, and I also pray that it will not be long before we are out of here and all those that will, will accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior so they will not have to face what is coming upon this fallen planet.
Maranatha,
Julie
I am overwhelmed with the kind words and beautiful testimonies of all of you.
Thank you for for your kind words, Tom, and for your show of compassion. I so appreciate your prayers for me.
Regina and Texas Sue, you were both so blessed by having Godly grandmothers who prayed for your salvation. I never knew my grandmothers on either side because one of them died before I was born, and the other one died soon afterwards. I always felt a void in my life not having grandparents.
Regina, thank you for your words of kindness. I really appreciate that, and I would like to give you a gentle hug back, sis.
May the Lord bless you, too. It looks like your sister was saved through your grandmother's prayers as well! You must love her very much. Is she still alive?
Texas Sue, I think it's great that you were raised in church and have been a Christian for so long. Not having a father growing up, I know what you mean when you say that God Himself proved to be a Father to you. Isn't that beautiful? I, too, read Corrie ten Boom's book and was blown away by her unwavering faith in God, especially after losing her sister Betsy and her father in the concentration camps. Since you've been a watcher for 50 years, you can discern that we are close to the end with all the signs around us.
Valerie, thank you for your empathy for what I am going through right now. Wow, what a testimony you have concerning your aggressive breast cancer back in 2003 and refusing to take chemo. My doctor strongly advised me several time to take chemo to prolong my life, but like you, I refused, and felt God's peace doing so. Praise the Lord that after 11 years you are still going strong and no trace of cancer to be found! I rejoice with you, God is good! Oh, won't it be wonderful to see each other in heaven? I look forward to meeting my brothers and sister there!!!
We still haven't heard from Sandy yet. I hope that I didn't offend her in trying to defend my position. That was not my intention. I just wanted to show her my heart in what I posted about the Catholic people and that I meant it for good.
Julie, I'm sorry, sis, I didn't mean to leave you out. For some reason, I was not able to edit my last post to include you. Maybe because me and Valerie posted at the same time!
Anyway I would like to thank you for your kind words of encouragement. Won't it be wonderful once we have our new bodies! Praise the Lord. Like you, I enjoyed reading about the other's testimonies here as well. We have a lot of amazing brothers and sisters here. I can't wait to see you all and give you a big hug!!!
