1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing .
This is exactly what the Bible means about the last days. Prior to the beginning of the Day of the Lord and our rapture flight to heaven, there will be things that cause men's hearts to fail for fear. The sea and its waves roaring is one of those signs that Jesus spoke of to his disciples. I know that high seas and storms have happened thru out history, but we are in a time where all the signs are happening at once. They have converged in such a way that it is almost as if we seem to be sitting at Jesus' feet listening to Him tell about these things. What a time we are in now. I always thought that I would be alive at the time of the rapture but had no idea that we would bump into the boundaries of the tribulation like this. [/quote]
We are INDEED, T/Sue. Isn't this time an exciting time for us to be living in? For we will be THE ones seeing most all of Jesus' prophecies come to pass, just before He comes to rapture us off of this planet.
Because Calvin & others here are sportsminded, when it comes to the football games AND now the 2014 Winter Olympic Games on the verge of taking place over in Sochi, Russia...
It makes me wonder if our rapture will take place while all of these games are taking place...that will cause such a major chaos worldwide.
That is something to ponder, isn't it!?
