1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

L.A. Marzulli's - Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

This is what L. A. Marzulli wrote in his sunday column today and it is worth hearing.

Sunday Bun

by

L. A. Marzulli

1 John 4 :19 We love Him because He first loved us!

Jesus loves me this I know

For the Bible tells me so…

Most of us know the words to the song Jesus Love Me. The song may be sung in Sunday school but the lyrics are profound. We read in John that He first loved us. In other words when I was a guru worshipping, occult practicing, drug taking hippie, He still loved me. He reached out to me and by the Spirit of the Living God came into my life the moment I asked Him too.

He loves us and we are told nothing can separate us from the Love of Jesus.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)

How’s that for unconditional love?

There may be times in our walk, where we feel betrayed, alone, scared, beaten down, misused, hopeless, yet through all of these “trials” He is there. He will bring good out of these circumstances we find ourselves in, no matter how desperate they may be. His love transcends time and space.

I remember one time when I was leaving for my cabinet shop. I was driving down my canyon heading to work and I was crying. I was alone and felt like I didn’t have a friend in the world. As I was driving, He appeared right in front of me. It was a waking vision and I’ve only had this one time in 33 years. He was there and I could see his face as I was driving. His eyes were burning with a holy love for me, for us. His “visit” blew me away and I was dumbfounded at the love I felt. The vision lasted only a few moments and then He was gone, but it changed the atmosphere, it changed my thinking, He lifted me from the pit and I no longer was bound by my situation.

He is here now with us. He is the same yesterday, today and in the future. His love is unchanging. It is a holy love burning for us. A holy love sacrificed for us. A love that knows no bounds and perhaps soon, He will bring us before His presence with singing.

T/Sue,

I know that song *VERY* well. Infact, for me personally, I can add...

Jesus love me this I know

For Jesus told me so

In my 2nd in a series of Rapture dreams, I met Him in the spirit. Jesus knew us "in the spirit" before we ever came into existence. I met Him in the spirit via my dream (and, as I gazed upon Him...I just couldn't take my eyes off of Him) He (sensing my presence there before Him) suddenly locked His loving eyes on my eyes, transferring His loving thoughts of love to me.

That is why I thank you for bringing up this song. I automatically thought of my encounter with Jesus via my dream.

Tammy, isn't it amazing how a song can bring back a memory so vividly. Thanks so much for sharing about your visit from Jesus. I think when He visits in such a personal way it is to give us strength and to build our faith, also just to let us know we are loved. :)

Yes, T/Sue, I totally agree w/U 100%!!! Actually in my above mentioned dream, when I was took to visit Him in via experiencing a sneak preview of what it's going to be like to be Raptured.

Taking me by surprise, Jesus called my by my preferred name, Tammy (for which He lovingly conveyed His thoughts of love to me, "Tammy, I love you!"). He already knew what a major problem I have with my real name, Tamara (rightfully pronounced tam-uh-rah), and that I prefer being called--Tammy.

Anyhoo, that's other reason why I brought my up name prob, is b/c I was thinking about my dream in the spirit heavenly meeting with Him. Jesus knows *ALL* things...and He does indeed let us know that we are loved!!! And He does understand us too.:)

Thank you, Jesus, for loving me, and for calling me--Tammy, too!!! I love you, and I'm sooo looking forward to giving you a great BIG too!!!

There's a combo on the same CD/Video album of both "O How I Love Jesus/Jesus Loves Me" (w/children singing the "Jesus Loves Me" part), but I can't seem to find it.

So just maybe, you or someone else can please search for it, & post it here too. OK!?

T/Sue, Valerie, & all--

I happen to own "especially for children - classic moments from THE BILL GAITHER TRIO - Volume One" CD, which has the combo "O How I Love Jesus/Jesus Loves Me" cut on it.

Would cuts of this CD in video be on youtube?

Valerie,

Thank you sooo much for posting the above combo "Jesus Loves Me/Oh How I Love Jesus" video. In my head, I heard strains of the latter song in my head...then, I begin singing it to myself.

But still, there is that same combo song(s) out there by the Gaithers.

Here is still yet another song, I just know that you'll like--"Jesus Is Everything"...

Jesus Loves Me - Oh How I Love Jesus

Valerie,

Here are the lyrics to "O How I Love Jesus"...

There is a Name I love to hear,
I love to sing its worth;
It sounds like music in my ear,
The sweetest Name on earth.

Refrain:
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!

It tells me of a Saviour's love,
Who died to set me free;
It tells me of His precious blood,
The sinner's perfect plea.

Refrain:

It tells me of a Father's smile
Beaming upon His Child;
It cheers me through this little while,
Through desert, waste, and wild.

Refrain:

It tells me what my Father hath
In store for every day,
And though I tread a darksome path,
Yields sunshine all the way.

Refrain:

It tells of One whose loving heart
Can feel my deepest woe;
Who in each sorrow bears
A part that none can bear below.

Refrain:

It bids my trembling heart rejoice.
It dries each rising tear.
It tells me, in a "still small voice,"
To trust and never fear.

Refrain:

Jesus, the Name I love so well,
The Name I love to hear;
No saint on earth its worth can tell,
No heart conceive how dear.

Refrain:

This Name shall shed its fragrance still
Along this thorny road,
Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill
That leads me up to God.

Refrain:

And there with all the blood-bought throng,
From sin and sorrow free,
I'll sing the new eternal song
Of Jesus' love for me.

Refrain:

Thanks Tammy for the video, as well as the lyrics to O how I love Jesus!

Now I'll be able to sing along with the words.

God Bless!
