For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing .
Before I start let me put a disclaimer in this article. I am not saying the Rapture will happen on Pentecost or around this area of 2013. I am just making some points and asking some questions. I also want to stress the general area of May19th. We will never know the exact date of the Rapture.
My purpose is not to make a prediction for the rapture but to show you facts and current events that is now moving like a tital wave all over the world. It is nothing for God to put this whole thing on hold for another year but the question is,"Will He?"
I have to laugh at the main question I get asked all the time."But what if Jesus doesn't come this soon --- then what?"Occupy until He comes. The real question is,"What if Jesus does come this soon?" What if the rapture is right at the door? Are you ready? Would you go up in the rapture or would you be left behind?
I feel the need to stress that I am talking about the Northern Hemisphere, not the Southern Hemisphere of the world. If you read this article it will be pretty obvious that feast days and Israel go hand in hand. If you live South of the Equator don't feel badly but I have to explain this because not everybody understands that Israel is in the Northern Hemisphere.
In December of 2012 the Lord did not give me a bad vision. He just seemed to want to make some points. Thank God for this because I have had bad visions and the helpless feeling that comes over a person when going through this is difficult..
During the year 2012 I just passed by Pentecost 80 miles an hour even though I wrote two very deep articles a couple of years ago about the subject. There were some mistakes in those articles but I tried my best and yes I still have unanswered questions. The final version of those articles was lost. The moment I was finished with this article they were located on a link in another writing . Talk about the timing of the Lord. I think God wanted me to start all over again because He had some new truths to show me.
Why did I drive right by Pentecost in 2012? I don't know but late in that same year the Lord told me He had some points that he wanted me to have and perhaps share with other people. Why should I keep this to myself?
What I am going to do is explore an aspect of Pentecost, especially in relation to Rosh Hashanah and explain some truths. Before you walk away saying,"I don't know anything about this so I just want to move on"let me just say," Hang in there because this article will relate to where you are in life and also where you are going." I am going to divert a little and explain what is going on in the world and where it is going.
I need to stress something. Ninety eight percent of the time we will hear people say,"The first four feast days were fulfilled and only three more remain to be completed."This is a false statement. The first three feast days were fulfilled. Passover was fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross,Unleavened Bread was fulfilled when Jesus was buried and Firstfruits was fulfilled when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. Pentecost was partially fulfilled, only to be completely fulfilled sometime in the future. The last three feast days are yet to be fulfilled.
If you go to You Tube, most of the videos made were about the Rapture and Rosh Hashanah but very few were made about the Rapture and Pentecost in my opinion unless I am missing something.
Let's walk through a couple of truths. If the Rapture happened on Rosh Hashanah then where does that leave Pentecost? This feast day would still only be partially fulfilled. I thought feast days had to be fulfilled in order. Is God just going to skip this feast day?
I have another question without any pride in me. Sometimes when people have questions their egos become really big. If the Rapture does not fulfill Pentecost then how is it going to be fulfilled? Remember this feast day has to be fulfilled in some way. Jesus Christ did not fulfill Pentecost. He deferred this partial fulfillment over to the Holy Spirit. God always finishes anything He does but not always in our timing. Humans don't finish projects but this is not how God operates.
I believe in the discipline of being ready at any moment for the Rapture but I have not ruled out that our Blessed Hope might be destined for the Pentecost area of time. In my opinion Pentecost has everything to do with the Church. Even the secular movie,"Knowing" put the Rapture and Pentecost together. Politicians seem to want to sign the peace covenant with Israel and the Arab world around Rosh Hashanah (Daniel 9:27) but this is different than the Rapture of the Church. The tone regarding the peace covenant seems to be changing in 2013. They seem to want to do it at Springtime but it will only be done in the timing of God.
The confirming of this covenant with its' intended duration of seven years (Daniel 9:27) starts the seven year tribulation period which will be a horrible time. They have even spoken of a seven year peace treaty for March and April just like the Bible spoke of in Daniel 9:27 when they went over to Israel. That pretty much sounds like a sign in current events from the prophetic word of God showing us how close we really could be to the tribulation period. They are saying seven years. When we hear people talk like this our prophetic ears should really be listening.
I thank God every day that He has promised to Rapture true Christians in Jesus Christ before the Day of the Lord. In the middle of them trying to set this treaty up I would not be surprised if war breaks out in the Middle East. If this happens you can be sure that the Rapture and first four seals in the book of Revelation will follow very shortly after or in the middle of the confusion surrounding that very unstable area.
I need to say something else because some really good prophecy teachers that moved mountains for Jesus Christ insist that we are in this seven year time period. As of this writing in April of 2013 we are not in the seven year tribulation period. Why don't you just let me make my points and you can decide if we are in the tribulation or not. You be the judge and I will put on my case. First of all the rapture has not taken place. This will be the greatest event in the history of all mankind. The world will be shocked.
This is the Act of God through His Son Jesus Christ that will cause the events of the tribulation period to start. For example there is no real cry for the mark of the beast now but after the rapture an emergency census will take place right away because the government will need to know who is here and who is not. The computers in this world are already set up for an economic system so if a person wants to buy or sell he or she will have to get a chip in their right hand or their forehead (Revelation13:16-17).
In Revelation chapter 14:9-12 the third angel warns those on earth not to take the mark or they will suffer the wrath of God. Most prophecy experts don't believe this mark will be required until the middle of the seven year tribulation even though it seems to be in some bills that passed through legislation now. Nobody will take the mark by accident because there is an Angel in Revelation chapter 14 warning the inhabitants of Planet Earth not to take it because it is in allegence with worshipping the antichrist. This is just one of the reasons why some Christians are reaching out their hands to people that don't know Jesus Christ as their very own Savior and Lord so they will not have to face these future horrors.
If you were to take a survay on the street, the average person does not know anything about the future mark or how computers are already set up for this system. If a person refuses they will be kicked out of the system as a reject and I am not even mentioning the fact that they won't be able to buy or sell, get a job or even keep their job. Not even one billion dollars will get you out of this one because if a person refuses the mark they will not be able to get access to their savings. In that case it would be better if you just had one dollar.
The second thing I would like to mention is the peace covenant has not been signed or confirmed which is the starting point of the Tribulation period.Daniel 9:27.
The third thing I would like to mention is the first four seals have not been opened to fall upon Planet Earth. People will know when this is happening because twenty five percent of the population of the world according to Revelation chapter 6:8 will die. This will not be a mystery to anybody yet a few great teachers are saying that we have been in this "Day of the Lord." None of these things as of this writing has taken place.
I realize that some teachers say there will be a three and one half year gap between the first and second seal but it is a very rare position. I only pray and hope they are right but I am really slow to believe this position, especially since ancient seals were released one through seven right in a row. As we can see timing is conjecture but the main idea is already here and destined to take place in the future.
Another point I would like to make is I have a friend who has had several visions of the four horsemen and horses in Revelation chapter six. She wanted to make some points. These horses and horsemen were evil and they were very close to breaking into the earth. The Pale horse and rider looked very sick and pale. The horses were one right after another. The white horse was not way over to the left as oppossed to the other three horses being way over to the right. They were following each other in unison or should I say harmonizing in an evil way with equal spaces between them.
My point in this article is not so much to give you my positions but rather show you how close we really are to all these truths the Bible talks about regarding the last days. For example the Syria situation is in Isaiah 17. The Egypt situation is mentioned in Isaiah chapter 19.
The Iran situation is mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39.This is a huge point I would like to make because I have some recent information on this subject.
The title of the article is, "Pentecost/Rapture and the sleeping bear?" Iran will join with Russia and other countries for the purpose of invading Israel.
Russia is the largest oil producer and exporter in the world. Russia is the largest exporter of natural gas. Israel has the largest oil and gas reserves ever to be found in any country. This is their motive. They will try and take a spoil. Ezekiel 38:12.
They have said several times on the internet that since America insists on being on the side of Israel then we will invade Israel. One leader actually said this on You Tube. They have also said that they feel the U.S.A is trying to take over the world and they are standing on their private property. Some of the leaders called America names and seemed very angry.
The last time I heard Russia had twenty planes and thirty battleships on the move. That has probably increased in number by now. They are upset and have told their people to prepare for war.
I think it is interesting that Russia had the worst winter in seventy years. I am writing this article in the year 2013. It is pretty hard to invade Israel with all that snow. The seventy years could even mean something. Many Bible experts believe that seventy years is a generation.
God Bless

Bob D.,
Thanks so much for sharing a well written and thought out post on the good possibility of a Pentecost Rapture. I say possibility because only God knows the exact day and hour, however, people like yourself and those here who have been watching, know without a doubt, the Rapture is extremely close now. All the signs we are told to watch for from prophecy in the Bible, are coming to pass at a great speed. Many of the signs are happening simultaneously at times. Weather, wars, rumours of wars,...the nearness of the tribulation!
We know that the Church began on Pentecost, therefore, it does make sense that the church/bride could be taken out by Jesus, via the Rapture at Pentecost too. We also know that the Holy Spirit was sent at Pentecost; and therefore the Holy Spirit will be the One whom will change our corruptible bodies into incorruptible bodies liken unto that of the Lord Jesus body on the day of the Rapture. Another good reason, that our departure might be on the day of Pentecost.
It's true that Pentecost was only Partially fulfilled by Jesus, while Ascension was fulfilled by the Lord when Jesus ascended to Heaven after 40 days.
The 50th day is what the word “Pentecost” means. It was the name given to the Jewish Feast of Weeks, which occurred on the fiftieth day after the Passover.
First (Deut 16:9), it was the day when the first fruits of the corn harvest were presented and celebrated and later it was the day when the giving of the Law of Moses was remembered. The Church used the term Pentecost, because the event occurred 50 days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It some what resembles and reminds me of the Old Testament Jubilee—in which, every 50 years, the Hebrews celebrated a year of perfect rest, emancipated slaves, and restored hereditary property.
Pentecost 50th day after the Lord's resurrection could be the perfect time for the Rapture to occur. We would celebrate our rest, our freedom from what enslaves us here on earth, and restoration of inheritance as children of God, of property like mansions which the Lord has prepared for those whom love Him.
These are some of my thoughts Bob D., however, I do not say these are my predictions, for who truly knows the mind of God completely! God's ways and thoughts have always been higher than our own.
However, we are to study and show ourselves approved before the Lord.
God Bless you and thanks again, for your excellent study, and sharing your thoughts and ideas.
Valerie
Pentecost actually spans from the 14th of May through the 19th of May. I have no inside information from God that the rapture will happen in that time but it is a very important couple of days that represents the Church and the rapture.
Prophecy in the News devoted over half their May magizine to Pentecost. If the Lord does not come during Pentecost I would be ready at any moment. I still feel the return of Jesus could be very close.
Bump to the top...
Bob D, I found a summary of a thread you started on the following about Pentecost back from 2011. Since Pentecost starts today May 14,2013, hoping that this truly is the time for the Rapture to take place; we hope. Maranatha! Valerie

Twenty little known facts about Pentecost
quote=Bob D]My purpose for writing this summary as I reviewed many different articles and books regarding the subject of Pentecost is to show readers that the rapture of the Church could happen right around this time frame without setting a date.I think we need to be ready at any moment for the rapture but look at the facts of Pentecost. I hope that I can mention facts that have not been dealt with regarding this particular feast day and our possible departure to heaven. Perhaps I can take a principle that has already been discussed and go one step deeper and shed some new light on this subject. I am not saying the rapture will take place in the week of Pentecost because more than likely I do not have all the factors in front of me; however, I would like to explore some truths about this particular feast and festival day. On the other hand I am not saying our Blessed hope will not take place right around this time frame.
(1) I might as well start with the issue that is a little defensive to people that look into this subject." But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no nor the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36. It is my personal opinion that nobody knows the day or the hour of the rapture. Let me just say how I feel about this issue. I would not look for an exact date. In fact I think we should be ready at any moment for the rapture because there is so much we don't even know. I do believe Jesus comes across with a clear point in Luke chapter 12 that we should be ready at all times for the rapture. Luke 12:35-40. I am writing this article because there is more to the subject of Pentecost than meets the eye. There is something very biblically distinct about this feast/festival day. Did you know that Shavuot (Pentecost) was viewed upon as a floating date? When God constructed this it was the only festival where the date could not be fixed. This feast day drifted back and forth( Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday).I heard but I am not sure that after 70 a.d Sivan 6 officially became the fixed date for Pentecost (Shavuot). If the feast day was changed or fixed after 70 a.d.can we really say Sivan 6 is the correct date? All I am doing is asking a question.
(2) Some people refer to Pentecost as the feast day for dispensational change.
(1) Innocence (Creation).
(2) Conscience (The Fall).
(3) Human government (The Flood).
(4) Promise (Tower of Babel).
(5) Law (Exodus).
(6) Church age (When the Holy Spirit was given to the Church in Acts chapter 2).
(7) Kingdom age (The rapture of the Church and the following events).
Biblical history attests to the fact that dispensation number 3 (human government) changed on Shavuot which is found in Genesis chapter 8. It seems as if dispensation number 5 changed on Pentecost (Law) which is found in Exodus chapter 19. Dispensation number 6 (age of grace) changed on Pentecost which is found in Acts chapter 2. Although the dispensation of Promise (Towel of Babel) does not give a date, Genesis 11:7 says, "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." We know the age of grace started with Pentecost. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4. Here we see that the dispensation of Promise had one thing in common with the dispensation of Grace. That would be unknown tongues speaking at the same time.I think it is pretty clear that Promise ( Tower of Babel ) also changed on Pentecost. We see a pattern of dispensational changes taking place on Pentecost. It is possible that the first two dispensations (Innocence and Conscience) changed in a 24 hour time frame on Shavuot (Pentecost) but not very probable. This probably happened on Rosh Hashanah based on how the calender was set up by God.The dispensation that we are living in now ends with the rapture of the Church. This age of grace might change in the Pentecost area. History tends to repeat itself.
(3) If the Holy Spirit was given to the Church on Pentecost (Acts chapter 2) then it is possible that the Holy Spirit will be removed on Pentecost (2nd Thes. 2:7). This verse says," For the mystery of inequity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way."
(4) There is a tradition that some Jewish people stay up all night and petition God for a miracle on Pentecost. They literally look for the sky to open up for a split second but they never know when this will happen.Their belief is, in that moment the Holy Spirit gives them divine power. This ritual has tones of the rapture in what they do on Pentecost. Notice "When" they are doing and what they are doing.
(5) There is an extra Adar month in 2008 and 2011. This still places Pentecost probably around the beginning of the June area. I phrased that last statement very loose because I don't exactly know when Pentecost is going to occur. Most weddings take place in June. Once again if you feel the rapture will take place on Pentecost of this year I would not look for an exact day as much as the general area.
(6) On Firstfruits notice that the new wheat of the barley harvest was waved before the Lord but there was no leaven in the bread. This represents Jesus Christ rising from the dead in all of His sinless resurrection power. Two loaves of wheat bread with leaven are waved on Pentecost. I believe they represent the dead in Christ and the living being raptured (1st Thes.4: 16-18) but understand that the baking process killed the leaven (no sin) in the wheat loaves. To represent the other position some people believe that the two loaves of wheat bread represent both Jew and Gentile being joined together as one in Jesus Christ. When Christians are raptured we will be in a sinless state before God. This is another clue that the rapture may happen on or around Pentecost.
(7) Pentecost means 50. Fifty is associated with the Holy Spirit, Jubilee and liberty. Some Jewish scholars won't even attach a meaning to this number. From Firstfruits to Pentecost there are 50 days. This can be found in Leviticus 23:15-17. This Jubilee and liberty sounds like Christians being released at the rapture. What better number in the Bible to describe this joy.
(8) Some Jewish experts believe the barley harvest is from Passover to Pentecost. Some end time Bible prophecy experts that understand this harvest see this as a type of our dispensation of grace. This particular harvest (barley) ends with Pentecost. The age of grace will end once the rapture of the Church takes place. If this is the case then there is a connection between Pentecost and the rapture of the Church. I know there is some conjecture about point number 8 but this is what some people believe regarding this subject so I thought I would include this in my outline. I don't think there should be because only the first ripe barley was ready on Firstfruits. From Firstfruits to Pentecost there is more barley to become ripe. Of course I will talk about wheat and Pentecost in other outline points. I am not an authority on this subject but this is what some Jewish experts believe.
(9) Two Rams horns were given to Abraham when God provided this animal after his obedience with Isaac. There is only one heavenly trumpet mentioned in the Old Testament and that was sounded during the law probably with the left horn of the Ram on Shavuot (Pentecost). When the Apostle Paul spoke of the "Last Trump" in 1st Cor. 15:51-52 he may have been referring to the second Ram's horn (the right horn) to call His children home at the rapture. Remember if this is true the left horn was blown on Shavuot (Pentecost). Will the right horn be blown on the rapture? This is just a thought. I am certainly not dogmatic on this issue. If this is true notice the two Ram's horns and the two different Pentecost time frames might come together. What I am trying to say is if the left horn was blown on Pentecost then it would stand to reason that the right horn will also be blown on Pentecost. Will this event be the rapture?
(10) Jewish synagogues love the story of Ruth. It is the most popular, especially on Pentecost. Often times there is a strong teaching that the Messiah will arrive on this date. The rapture is pictured in the book of Ruth. When Ruth was on the threshing floor and laid down at the feet of Boaz this represented the rapture. This whole scenario took place on Shavuot (Pentecost).
(11) When Ruth married Boaz one could make a pretty good case that she converted over to Judaism. Once again the dispensation of law started on Shavuot (Pentecost). Grace (Pentecost). Ruth lying at the feet of Boaz (Pentecost). Could it be that law, grace and the rapture/resurrection will come together on Pentecost? There could be a reunion.
(12) Many Jewish scholars believe that King David was born and died on Pentecost. If this is true God was making a statement. I cannot be sure of this but David seemed to be a type of the Church. David was in Ruth's bloodline. If we went from Ruth to David we are in essence starting and ending with Pentecost.
(13) Many Jewish scholars believe that when Israel was the bride of Jehovah Passover was the courtship of Israel but Shavuot (Pentecost) was the actual marriage. Truths or patterns start from a Jewish origin. This seems to be the way it is with Jesus Christ and His bride from Passover to Pentecost. Passover starts the barley harvest because the first ripe barley is ready on this day but the 50 day count starts with Firstfruits and ends on Pentecost. It is interesting that the Jewish scholars had insight on this subject.
(14) " Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory." Eph. 1:14. Verse 13 says,"The earnest of our salvation" is the Holy Spirit. It seems to me that when we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior the Holy Spirit came into our hearts to reside. It is clear to me that in a manner of speaking the Holy Spirit is our engagement ring. Our wedding is after the rapture of the Church. Weddings seem to take place on Shavuot (Pentecost).
(15) Flavius Josephus once said that a few years before 70 a.d. Priests were following procedure for the temple and they heard a quaking, a noise and a multitude. This unknown said, "Let us remove hense." This happened on Pentecost. "Let us remove hense" sounds like the rapture.
(16) Why is there so much talk about Pentecost this year in 2011? The Pentecost area seems to be the most passionate time for end time prophecy web sites regarding the rapture. Rosh Hashanah is also spoken of many times. Only time will tell.
(17) There are 7 feast days and Pentecost is the forth. Jesus Christ is always represented by the 4th candlestick. The middle gives light and understanding to the first 3 and the last 3. At the rapture of the Church we will have understanding. It is a time when we will see the Light of the world who is Jesus Christ face to face.
(18) There are 3 Jewish festivals but Pentecost is right in the middle. This speaks of division. People may not want to hear this but the rapture is division. The saved in Jesus Christ will go up and the unsaved will be left behind. In both cases Pentecost is right in the middle (the feasts and the festivals).
(19) Passover is the beginning of the barley harvest but Firstfruits is a type of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pentecost is the end of the barley harvest ( a type of resurrection and rapture of the New Testament Believers). Can we take this point to a higher level?" But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits: afterward they that are Christ's at His coming." 1st Cor.15 :23. The word "Order" intrigues me. Some of the interpretations are interesting. One of the most popular is the Christians that did more for Jesus Christ will be first and the Christians that did less will not be as high when we go up in the rapture. What if the Apostle Paul knew not only the fulfillments of the feast days but also the "Order" in how this barley harvest was going to be fulfilled? What is after Firstfruits? Pentecost! The Apostle Paul knew that the new wheat being waved on Firstfruits represented the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." Matthew 27:52-53. Do you see what I am trying to observe? The Apostle Paul seemed to know that Firstfruits was already fulfilled in the first part of the barley harvest.Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day (Firstfruits) and fulfilled Matthew 27:52-53 by becoming the firstfruits of them that slept. The reason why I say that the Apostle Paul knew this knowledge was because he said he understood what happened."But now is Christ risen from the dead, and became the Firstfruits of them that slept." 1st Cor.15:20.Of course I just quoted the verses in Matthew but if you have to read this small portion of Scripture again I would strongly advise this because you will see how the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Firstfruits fulfilled the FIRST part of the resurrection in the barley harvest. When Paul used the word "Order" he may have been referring to the feast day after Firstfruits which is Pentecost. Remember the Apostle Paul was born and raised in knowing and living the feast days all the way through to the end. He was required to excel in this area and have a very strong understanding of every little detail regarding Jewish feast and festival days. I think this is a fair question. Was the Apostle Paul speaking of a Pentecost rapture? It is just a question. I am not attempting to answer the question but I think that this is something we should think about. For more understanding on what I am trying to say read point number 6 and compare it to point number 19. Am I just seeing things or is that what the Apostle Paul was trying to portray?
(20) The one overwhelming tone of Pentecost seems to be a symbol of marriage or a joining together of two into one. This describes the rapture in a perfect way.
There are obviously more points than these 20. When is the true Pentecost? The Jewish calendar may not be as accurate as many people feel it is with the present dates that now exist but on the other hand it might be perfect for all I know. I think we are on pretty safe ground to say that Pentecost is sometime in the beginning to the middle of the June area since there is an extra Adar month this year in 2011. I believe the beginning event is the rapture. Is our blessed hope (rapture) going to happen around Pentecost? Only time will tell. Our departure is near. Drawing close to Jesus Christ and getting busy for Him is the answer.[/quote]

Hi Bob, its good that this conversation is happening, whether the Lord returns now or later, so to help people understand the works of the Lord.
If you don't mind, I would like to ask some questions that perhaps others have. can we talk?
*How is it that Pentecost has not been fulfilled?
Tonight at sundown begins the festival of Shavuot, remembering the giving of Torah/Law on the mountain to Moses. The Holy Spirit came down on this day recounted in Acts 2. I have to laugh because what if Jesus came back in His second "act" as in Acts 2 as in Pentecost as in the giving of fulfilling the word of law and grace. Just talking, no crystal ball here folks.
*Is it not fulfilled because of the scripture Joel 2:28 and Acts 2: 17 that says in the later days God will pour out His spirit upon all flesh?
*Many of the saints were raised from the dead when Jesus died on the cross, Matt 27:52. Were these not firstfruits offered to God ascended with Him who is the chief firstfruit? If these first raised ones do not fulfill remembering the giving of Torah, ascending the mountain and meeting with God, who does? Does it take the rapture to fulfill the festival of Shavuot/Pentecost?
* What about in contrast to Chanukkah? In celebrating Chanukkah, part of what is recited each night says "We kindle these lights.."
At the burning bush, Exodus 3, God is the one who kindled the light. Exodus 19: 12-18 At the mountain that smoked and burned with light, God is the one who kindles.
*The people were not to approach God until the trumpet sounded. Is this a foreshadow of the wait for the trumpet to sound now?
*At Pentecost, God was the One who sent the Holy Spirit as flames on each head. Will the transformation of the bride of Christ be like this in a flash, kindled by God in the twinkling of an eye as 1Cor 15:52 says?
The Son of God has eyes like a flame of fire Is it the twinkling of the Lord's eyes that will kindle the changing of mortal to immortal? Light making light? The power of God making light in the twinkling of His eyes?
*How about this gem from Job...Man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upward. LOL my daughter said once that life is one obstacle after another. What a profound thing said in the middle of a hard time. Did Job say a really profound thing as well? A prophetic thing that when man is born into trouble (the tribulation) that the sparks (the changed bride of Christ) fly upward?
*Or could the sparks of Pentecost be ignited by the word of Jesus, the shout because Job 41:19 teaches us that out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
What say you? Our Lord Jesus hold you and bless you today and come back very soon. Regina
Hi Valerie and Regina. It is always a delight to read your posts.
Thank you Valerie for posting my article that I wrote a couple of years ago. I did mention many facts to think about but I am a lightweight compared to Gary Stearman. His May issue that just came out was so intense that I had to put the magizine down. They actually devoted about 75% of the magizine to the possibilities of the Lord coming this week(Pentecost and the rapture).
Let me make a general statement before I continue. We are watchers. The very idea is to share as many insights as we can for the prospect that Jesus may come so with that comes presentations. As long as disclaimers and facts are put in the video, article or response I think it is a good thing.
Regina in your question regarding Matthew 27,this had everything to do with the fulfillment of Firstfruits. One can not stop at verse 52 because it is verse 53 that says,"And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of this feast day. Firstfruits is the fulfillment of his resurrection.
As far as the fulfillment of Acts 2:17,Joel 2:28, I have literally heard debates. Some say it was completly fulfilled and some say it is still being fulfilled as we converse.
The main idea of my article was Jesus deferred Pentecost over to the Holy Spirit. This is a very different reality than Matthew 27:52-53 because Jesus fulfilled those verses.
I never said the sixth dispensation was not fulfilled which is in Acts chapter 2 starting the age of grace. That is when the Church was born. What I did say was Pentecost was the only feast day birthed and possibly not completly fulfilled by the Holy Spirit relative to this Feast day(Pentecost)----not dispentations. Two different subjects.
I think I presented some facts to think about but I have no real idea that Jesus is coming this week. I wish I did. I would probably leave my job.
This is the way I would phrase this whole study."The mystery of Pentecost is something to really think about in relation to the rapture of the Church." At the very least it is a type of the rapture but some people are asking the question, including myself,"Will Jesus catch His bride up to heaven during this time frame.
When we ask we are not being dogmatic in any way but since we are watchers I think it is perfectly alright to ponder the mystery of Pentecost and the rapture.
God Bless you as we walk with Jesus and watch for His return everyday!!!
Wow, Bob, sure sounds promising!
I thought I'd post the second part here as well, as I believe they should be easily found together, to complete your excellent article.
