1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Living in the Supernatural

Recently, we hired a gentleman to help us out on our farming operation since we had been short-handed for a while. I've known him (or of him) for quite a number of years but never got to know him personally. We had a lax moment and I shared some of the current and upcoming events that everyone here is very familiar. Most, when you share this kind of information will be quick to discount it but... he didn't. As a matter of fact, he got really excited and wanted to know more. After I had finished, he then told me a story that that blew me away...

He said that last year, his daughter who was in her 40's had a terminal cancer condition and was on her death bed (and unsaved) and how he was not going to give up on leading her to the Lord and he waited for hours in ICU to try one more time to do just that. They finally let him in and he sat next to her and started talking to her. She was in a semi-conscious state and couldn't talk but he would ask her a question and told her to squeeze his hand in response in a yes or no manner....and she did. To make a long story short, he lead her the Lord...or felt like he did. When time to leave, he felt that it was time well spent even though no words were spoken and maybe a question in his mind whether she actually did make a decision still bothered him.

Well, he left out for home which was an hour's drive away and little did he know that she had passed away not long after he had left. About half way home, he noticed that all of a sudden, people were pulling over to the side of the road in the west bound lane. He looked to see around him to find out where the funeral procession was coming from and to his surprise, he was the only vehicle in the east bound lane. Car after car and truck would pull over out of respect as it is here in Texas....but there was no funeral procession in progress (either way). When he approached his turn, he made a U turn and tried to pull over one of the vehicles to find out WHY were they pulling over... but they left before he could catch up to them.

I asked him (getting a little saucer-eyed myself) "what do you think that it meant?" He said, "the only thing that makes any sense is that the Lord was giving me comfort."

All I could say was, "Wow!" Praise the Lord!

Re: Living in the Supernatural

WOW Mark... Maybe they saw the Angel of the LORD.

When my mom was in that state like the man's daughter.... I would ask her questions and she would squeeze my finger.
I knew she could hear but could not speak.
My my older sister tried.. My mom would not respond.
My mom knew my sister wanted her in a retirement home and my mom did not want to go there. She also wanted to pull the plug on my mom and I think my mom heard my sisters discussing this with the doctor. So, she would not respond when my sister would talk to her.

I believe the man's daughter gave her life to Jesus.
Remember, it is never to late to accept His free gift of salvation.
Her reward will be the same as ours.
Remember the parable about the employer who hire people at different times of the day.. At the end of the day..
They all got paid the same amount.
Matthew 20
13 “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius?
14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.
15 Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’

16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

...........

Just like the lost son in Luke 15.
He was welcome with a huge party..
Just like his faithful brother would of have.
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.
32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

WoW Mark W what a Wonderful Testimony,

I think that is why we talk about the Lord because we do have supernatural experiences,

and those in turn strengthen our faith,

Thank you again. Praying for our Supernatural departure.
