1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

PERHAPS a Sign

I will first of all like to say that I definitely FEEL that we are CLOSE to something BIG.Last night as I was praying,I asked the LORD for some sort of confirmation.....Now I know that an evil and perverse generation seeks after a sign,and I told the LORD,"...You know my heart,that is not what I am asking...""Well,anyway quite often I just OPEN my Bible at night and read from there.It is crazy but the last little while the LORD has spoken always whenever I just OPEN my Bible and my room is dark,when I pray and my Bible is open on the floor if I am kneeling or in my bed,if I am not feeling to good.To be quite frank,with ALL that is happening,I also told the LORD,I don't even really need anymore confirmation that we are indeed close.

So,last night after I was done praying and I turned on my bedside light my Bible was opened to Amos and my eyes fell unto to Amos 8....this chapter is CRAMMED pack full.Especially verses 9-11.

Hi Ruth, it feels like a confirmation to me when I read it. please correct me if I'm wrong but I think the perverse generation asking for a sign is the generation without faith. I think the children of God who do you have genuine faith are going to receive more confirmations from the Lord, and that Jesus knew the hearts of those asking for a 'sign'. if I am mistaken please correct me because I would hate to be wrong about this.

The Pharisees were the ones demanding proof that Jesus was who He claimed to be. They were without faith, and anyway, they wanted Him dead. They were the ones whom Jesus called the "perverse and evil generation," as, indeed, they were.

Thank you for clearing that up to the both of you.When at night I open my Bible...NO matter what I am dealing with,whether emotional,contending for the faith-BIGGY these days,different issues that we all deal with at sometime or another,OR having to do with Prophecy it is like the Holy Spirit just moves my hand to OPEN EXACTLY where I need to read.
