1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Here's a look at what the Fatah and Hamas leadership expect to propose to the UN General Assembly on September 20th.
The wording of the draft, crafted in recent days by the Fatah leadership, is designed to enable even "problematic" countries such as Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic to climb on board, or at least abstain. This version will make it difficult for the United States and the Marshall Islands, and even for Israel, to explain their votes against the proposal. Instead of recognizing Palestine within the 1967 borders, it will state that the permanent borders will be determined in negotiations with Israel based on the borders of June 4, 1967.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Can someone explain to me what this means? I don't understand:

The wording of the draft, crafted in recent days by the Fatah leadership

Instead of recognizing Palestine within the 1967 borders, it will state that the permanent borders will be determined in negotiations with Israel based on the borders of June 4, 1967. This approach made it possible to enlist the support of leading moderates in Hamas, who claim that recognition of the 1967 borders before the signing of a final-status deal means waiving the claim to the right of return.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

"This approach made it possible to enlist the support of leading moderates in Hamas,"

this means the moderate

(the crippling and maiming kind?) terrorists can agree only if

they don't waive their right to return and so then they can out populate Israel

and make Israel a Muslim nation, like France and England will be muslim nations

because the muslim population will be more than the original people.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Thank you, Deborah.

I still am lost about the significant of June 4, 1967. I don't know the history about that date. Some where the text says even countries that would have voted against would not have the courage to do so. Why?

Thanks in advance.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Willie, I don't understand all of it but I do get the part about June 4, 1967. That is equivalent to our Sept. 10,2011. It was the day before the Israelies beat the enemies who tried to annilate them and took over Jerusalem, Golan Heights, and all the other territories that they are being forced to give up. It puts Israel into a position of being indefensible because in the north their land will only be 8 miles wide.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

That was the date Israel regained East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War. It was either the date that the war started or the date that they attained victory--it only lasted 6 days, so it could have been the date of either its beginning or its end. I'm not sure which. But the Arab countries hate it that Israel won that war and regained all of Jerusalem. But then, the mere existence of Israel, period, is a total disaster in their eyes. They think that if they can force Israel into an indefensible position, they'll be able, at last, to invade Israel and totally destroy it, killing every Jew. That's their goal, you see.

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Thank you Sue. so the Palestinians are not content with just the west bank and gaza. Right? Pre june 4 1967 is larver right?

Re: September 20th Palestinian Plan For UN Recognition: First Look & Their Strategy

Try "All of Israel," seeing as that's what they really want. Pre-1967 is merely a precursor for them. Their goal is to take over the entire nation and drive every Jew into the sea.
