I have a Newbie question for anybody: why are there some kinds of mushrooms growing, but morels are no where around? If the weather/area is conducive to allowing some kinds of mushrooms to grow, why not morels, too? Or do morels florish under different conditions than other mushrooms?

Also, I am assuming that morels would be found on the same side of trees that moss and "shelf-looking" mushrooms on branches are....is that true? ....and are morels also found in the Fall? Thanks for any help.
