An "older" friend of mine has a 60's 500cc Enfield Bullet, as he's not getting any younger and starting the bike is getting harder, is it possible to install an electric start from a newer Bullet on to the older bikes?
Or is it plan B, sell the 60's bike and purchase a newer one?
have a talk with Hitchcock's the Enfield dealers they will know but I think it will be expensive maybe look for a later starter type engine to fit in friend frame
It would be a shame, expensive and hard work to butcher a genuine Royal Enfield by fitting a modern motor. It would be worth less at the end.
The answer for me would be to sell the Royal Enfield and with the money buy a secondhand (there's loads of them) electric start model, simples.
