Back Wheel Disaster

Coming back from the Dragon Rally, 120 miles from home, the quick release part of the rear mudguard "quick released", locked up the back wheel completely and has bent lots of bits!

I was never 100% happy with the wheel alignment, so I need to do something about it now.

Has anyone got a picture they could send me of the "rear sub-frame" looking from the back of the bike as I am not sure if the left hand side should have a slight kink in it or not. It looks slightly different to the right hand side.

On the plus side, the bike is in need of a back end overhaul, so I have to do it now!

Re: Back Wheel Disaster

How about a picture of what you're talking about? Otherwise we can only use conjecture!

Re: Back Wheel Disaster

I have not had much luck trying to post pictures on this website. Do you know how to do it?

Re: Back Wheel Disaster

Hi Pat

I have to give Henk credit for the drawing, I just modified it a bit.

I know what you mean with posting pictures, I tried at least half a dozen times with photobucket until I got it right.

Pete
