LAKEHOUSE RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS

1. There are two sets of sheets for every bed. We will try to keep the extra sheets in the closet of the appropriate bedroom(clean) or on the utility room floor.(dirty) On the last day of your visit please put the clean sheets on the bed and put the dirty ones in the utility room. If you have time to start laundry loads that is great but not required. Please do not start any load that you cannot get to the dryer. (no mildew)You should take note early in the week if you need to clean the sheets so you do not have to rush on your last day.
2. Please try to wash as many towels as possible during your stay.
3. Please leave the house cleaner than you found it.
4. PLEASE LEAVE THE BOAT CLEANER THAN YOU FOUND IT and put the cover on before you leave. It is not necessary to put it on while you are there.
5. Please put enough gas in the new boat so it has at least a half tank. It takes straight gas no oil, unlike John’s boat. It is an 89 gallon tank so there is no need to always have it full.
a. To start boat you should run blower for 5 minutes. Keep blower on all times that you are not at cruising speed.
b. Please be aware of the depth finder in the boat. There are shallow areas even in the main channel. If the water goes below 10 feet you should not go faster than 10 miles per hour. The water is deeper down stream. Boat trips will be easier if you go to the right as you are looking at the lake from our house.
c. Forthview marina is the first big cove down the lake. You can get gas there.
d. If you have problems or desire better instructions please call Jeff Crowe at 816-739-533
6. Johns boat is a 12 gallon tank and REQUIRES ONE PINT OF MARINE OIL FOR EVERY FIVE OR SIX GALLONS. ADD THE OIL STRAIGHT TO THE GAS.
a. To start John’s boat the first time you should pump the ball by the moter until it is stiff and you will probably need to push in the choke by pushing in the key. You will also probably have to put the boat in neutral with the engine revved.
7. Please take all food that will spoil out of the fridge before you leave. Feel free to leave the beer.
8. Trash pickup is on Mondays at the top of our property. Even if you have a maid please get all the trash out because the maid will not be there in time.
9. Please leave the boat keys and house keys on the shelf in the far right corner of the garage.
10. Please leave all outside doors locked. You can enter by the garage code.
11. Pets are not allowed.
12. Please park only on our property. The line is marked by stakes running up the property. Our neighbor will let us use his driveway if we do not park on his land.
