I never came across this one, which looks to be chronological (except for a couple out of place in the 1979-1982 area)- I know that Blender USA had a 500 CDs You Must Own. Some of these albums may be on that, but I know that some are not.

One author wrote the text, but I'd think it's staff-compiled, as other major Blender lists. A note: it says "the most popular albums," but, obviously, it's not a list of the most successful albums of all time- just a wrong choice of words.

There also are two tracks per album listed to download (except only one for Led Zeppelin). Maybe something can be done with those, too (like with Standout Tracks From the 500 CDs You Must Own).
