9 of these 20 are on the EOY spreadsheet. Yes, even Lulu.

It's fascinating to me that all year long - unless I just wasn't reading the right things - whenever the Odd Future collective was discussed and debated, Tyler and Goblin were the focal point. It was one of the most talked-about albums of the year, and I figured that it would show up on a lot of EOY lists. It's been on a few, but as it turns out it's fellow OF member Frank Ocean who's been killing it. I actually had never heard a thing about Nostalgia, Ultra until it started popping up on all these lists; I downloaded it over the weekend, and it's quite fantastic (even though one of its signature tracks, "American Wedding," doesn't -sample- "Hotel California," it just has Ocean singing new words over the entire original track, guitar solos and all, which is a little weird).
