Someone Like You at number one is an embarrassing selection.

I like "Someone Like You"- it's a decent ballad. Not sure if it's No.-1-of-the-year worthy, but... There have been worse acclaimed tracks- 50 Cent comes to mind.

"Someone like you" would be in my top 10. Great song. Sold a ton too. Embarrassing is the Beady Eye at number 20.

Someone Like You is one of the blandest, least offensive imaginable hit songs. It has no business being critically acclaimed. Adele outside of "Rolling in the Deep" is seriously overrated.

Great lyrics, incredible voice, and great melodies what is not to like. And fortunately for Adele millions of people all over the world love her music for it's own merits and are actually paying for it.

Why are we complaining about Adele when "Gucci Gucci" is at number 3????

I'd argue that she's overrated for all of her work. "Someone Like You" is TERRIBLE. I can see liking "Rolling in the Deep", but I don't find it to be that great.
