So basically the only songs it will help are the ones ranked above "Jesus, Etc" which is set to have a pretty big leap next update due to decade end lists.

Yes, that seems to be the way it is. And the only song that's nestled in between "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" and "Jesus Etc." is "Misunderstood" which I think has not appeared in any lists before, so probably no new songs will be added due to this list...
