Any NFL fans? Who do you think will be in the Superbowl?
For me,Patriots-Eagles although this does depend on whether the Falcons get home advantage all through the playoffs. It is pretty hard to see anyone beating the Falcons at home...
They could have done better than the Black Eyed Peas for a halftime show couldn't they?
I'm a huge Pats fan but I still have major reservations about their secondary. Hard for me to call at the moment though I do think having home field throughout will be huge. Jets could still steal the division on the common opponents tiebreaker, if the Pats lose a game.
Ugh, Black Eyed Peas? Last two Superbowls they at least targeted the middle age demo, now they're targeting kiddies?
Let's go Jets!!!
The last couple of superbowls were good. I'm on a streak (I've rooted for the last three right). The halftime shows had been good up until this. (Tom Petty, The Who, The Boss, Prince)
As much as I hate the Peas I think it's the best one they've had in a long time. I'm tired of them trotting out 60-70 year old men ever since Nipplegate. It's not good entertainment and the bands are long past the point of feeling honored by being asked. The Who barely even practiced before their halftime show.
Fail - the Falcons sucked, the Patriots sucked,Eagles lost first round.
Jets@Pittsburgh
Green Bay@Bears
Looking more likely to be a Steelers-Packers superbowl but who can be sure, almost everyone was picking the Patriots to beat the Jets. The Packers have become most people's favourites now,but I've just got this bad feeling that Big Ben(9-2 in playoffs and 2-0 in superbowls) and the Steelers could find some way to grind this out...
I called the Packers upsetting the Falcons, but the Jets-Pats game shocked me. I agree with Midaso's Steelers-Packers Super Bowl pick, though it is very possible we will see both 6 seeds proceed given the opponents the Jets have already upset.
AFC:
1. New England
2. Pittsburgh
3. Kansas City
4. Indy
5. New York
6. Baltimore
NFC:
1. Atlanta
2. Green Bay
3. Philadelphia
4. St. Louis
5. New Orleans
6. New York
Then New England-Green Bay in the Super Bowl, whose halftime show will absolutely be skipped by me.
These predictions weren't bad in retrospect; I got 10 out of the 12 playoff teams correct and picked the Packers to advance to the Super Bowl. I've been greatly enjoying Green Bay's ride through the postseason so far; I hope they cap it off with a SB victory.
As huge a Patriots fan as I am, I have a hard time seeing them winning a Superbowl unless they somehow magically learn how to do pass defense in the next few weeks.
Offensively, they're incredible. But winning a lot of games 63-56 by getting a turnover at the right time won't be as effective against great defenses.
There are a couple teams with elite run defenses, but I don't think there is an elite pass defense which is why I think the Patriots can win with just a great pass game. I don't see anybody in the AFC that can put up points like they do, but if the Packers get to the Super Bowl it's a toss up for me. If the Eagles can sneak their way into the playoffs which isn't all that far-fetched, they are going to be dangerous and I could see them winning it all. They just need to win their last two games and the Giants need to beat Dallas at home in week 17. At 6-8, I think the Eagles are getting in.
Well, my Jets are screwed unless the Titans Raider and Bengals all lose next week.
I have to agree with Biladama though. The Patriots defense is crap. I can picture a Raven-Saints superbowl with New Orleans winning it all.
