Puro Pop

Is there anyone who has heard about a Mexican music magazine called "Puro Pop"?

A lot of the critics lists at AM are from a source called "Pure Pop". I got these lists by email from a subscriber of the magazine, Marques. He first told me that "Pure Pop" was the name of the magazine translated into English and later he wrote that the Spanish name was "Puro Pop". (I don't know why I still haven't changed the name at AM.)

Someone with a good overview of Mexican music magazines once wrote here in the forum that he had a never heard about a magazine called "Pure Pop" or "Puro Pop", so I wrote an email to Marques to check the source. He wrote me a long answer, telling me that "Puro Pop" was one of the biggest music magazines in Latin America among other things. I decided to believe him.

But, as I was going through the lists for the EOY archive, I started to wonder about this again. I made a google search on "Puro Pop" and couldn't find a single thing about a music magazine with that name. If nobody here recognizes the magazine, I might remove the lists from AM.

To Marques: My sincere apologies for raising this question again if "Pure Pop" indeed exists.

Re: Puro Pop

That website started in 2008 while the EOY lists I've got are from 1993-2005, so I doubt that it's the same source.

Michael, this list is not an original list from puropop.com.br (that, I agree with Henirk, it’s not the ghost magazine from Mexico), they referenced a list from Esquire Magazine (March 2009) that could be eligible. Re: Puro Pop

I guess Esquire has never heard of anything after 2000.
