perhaps when the end of the decade come about, perhaps? because to me it just seems criminal that Kid A and Illinois have the same rating as the new Green Day album: 4 stars.
i really love that site and it is usually really fair in it's ratings, but come on!
Yeah, every once in a while they give something an extra half-star. But that's usually for older acclaimed albums or something fairly new where they screwed up the review when it first came out and they want to bring it in line with general critical opinion.
You really can't compare ratings across artists. It is interesting, however, when the star rating doesn't match the review, such as on Jeff Buckley's "Grace."
