Grizzly Bear #5 is my real guess.

But, I'm going to get that anyway, so for prize purposes consider my guess to be Pheonix #10, which is something I probably would only consider getting if it got really great reviews.

Who else is enjoying the new Dylan album? It's not really any new direction for him, sounds like a combination of Modern Times and Love and Theft. But it has some great songs on it and is still a big top ten contender for me.

Especially like "It's All Good"

I think that this has been a pretty weak year so far - I can't say I even like too many of the records, let alone love them.

I was right - Bob was the highest new entry but a little bit lower than I thought. I'll have to remember to get my guess in on time this month. Oh well it doesn't matter too much as I've already got the album.

I'm really liking the new Dylan album. I wouldn't call it a new direction, but it sounds really bluesy, and imo, that's a good thing. I think it definately may be a T10 album, and mwhile T5 is a stretch, it could happen if the year ends up being weak.

If it does get ranked highly, could Dylan potentially overtake the Stones as the #2 artist?

I'm going to say St. Vincent's "Actor" at #9.

Yeah Penguin, this has been a really weak year. Animal Collective gave me hope but after that it's been slow. MMP and Crack the Skye are the only records that are anything close to great, and we're almost halfway through 2009 already.
