I miss this game, it was going strong for awhile. I'll think of a question later but if anybody has one for us to guess go for it! I just wanted to get it going again since the boards have been a little dead the last month or so.
On the artwork of which AM3000 albums of the 70s you can see the first letter of the firstname and the full surname (for instance "J.Lennon")of a top 50 artist of the 00s ?
Here's one that's probably a little bit easier. This album was produced by an artist that ranks in the AM top 100 artists, and more than 1/3 of the album consists of cover songs.
i think i started this topic originally. yes, i was also sad to see it die. i, like everyone else, couldn't think of any more questions to ask. anyway, here's one.
this album features guest vocals from eddie vedder and dave grohl on drums.
That's a tickler indeed, John. Should be guessable - after all, half the top 100 names are bands, and out of the individual artists, how many have produced albums? But I'm damned if I can figure it out. I wondered for a second if we're talking one of John Cales many producer jobs, but he's artist no. 200-and-something (should be higher).
The Trinity Session has six covers out of twelve songs, I think, so technically meets your criterion, but does it have a producer at all - let alone one in the top 100 artists?
hahaha, i'm listening to the trinity session right now. it certainly does have an interesting history behind it. unfortunately it's so interesting that just about everyone knows about it and considers it as an answer even if it only half fits the question. i've considered posting a question with it as the answer here, but it's just too obvious no matter what i say. besides, i think someone used it in the first version of the topic.
john, i have no idea about your question, sorry :(

Since nobody's guessed yet, I'll give a confession.
The prime numbers thing is unabashedly a misdirection tactic, I was trying to get you to get bogged down in the math stuff when it's really the word clue that's important.
(All even numbers above 2 are the sum of two prime numbers!)
OK, thanks for that hint, didn't know that we were talking about the album rank here. My guess would then be Grateful Dead - Live/Dead.
(5 albums ranked, of which 2 apply to your prime number rule: Live/Dead and American Beauty. The word 'bawl' would in the end make it the live album with concert recordings from '69.)
BTW, with a little help from the computer the Goldbach conjecture has been proven for all numbers up to 10^18
