Just sent mine. But this time only the list without comments. As I told Moonbeam by mail there is a Spanish set phrase (“demasiados frentes abiertos”) that could translate as “too many open fronts” or “battling in too many fronts”. I suppose it makes sense...
I apologize for just getting my list in under the wire, and I apologize also for only submitting 70 artists. My computer issues at home are hairier than I thought at first, and I had only gotten down to #55 when everything went blooey. So this morning I hastily selected 15 more artists--I tried to pick those that probably won't be receiving much support from other quarters--and rounded out a top 70, which I fear is as much as I can do right now.
Despite having 553 artists represented in my iTunes, a top 20 was the best I could do. Blame it on work obligations and just general dissatisfaction with my list. (My LastFm artist chart didn't even help.)
Several more lists have come in! Slush, Georgie (although I need advice about his), Honorio, Schleuse and Anthony have all weighed in!
If you are dissatisfied with your lists, Schleuse and Anthony, please feel free to send in a revised version! Dumbangel isn't going to get his list in until the 18th, so I'll happily take in lists until then.
I'm sorry. I just have not had the time. (That jump from two to three kids is a killer. Everyone jokes about having to move from man-to-man to zone defense, but let me tell you, it's no joke.)
I most regret the hit that Pavement will take on the list. Sorry everyone.
Yes, Schwah, at least I'll miss your Pavement vote. From two to three kids is really a killer? That's too bad for me in about eight months. I guess we knew what we were talking about when we said no more after this one.
It's too late to include your list, as I already started to unveil it! I will post it among the individual lists, though, and I can post an alternative list with your votes included, though!
