We're bringing back eight songs and I think I can safely say that the AM community loves the later Beatles songs if we hadn't realized that already. As the early years dwindle the post '66 Beatles just grew! It also means we no longer have an eliminated album with Yellow Submarine getting two songs back.

Of course I have to say, the only way to protect the songs you voted back in is to keep voting twice a week or they'll suffer the same fate as Joan, the teacher and the judge (once again)!

It's nice to see "Word" and "John and Yoko" take leave, and of course, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that "Winding Road" is back in action, as it deserves to be.

1: ROCKY RACCOON: Not trying to be a douchebag here, but Nicolas, Justin -- guys, this isn't a top-100 song. I know that the nostalgic part of you wants it to be, but critically, it's a stinker. Had the white album been any sort of cohesive effort (or a scrumptious single-disc album), you'd likely see this one take its deserved place as a b-side (or better yet, an unreleased outtake). Paul wrote a bucket load of great songs, but his Midas touch wasn't immune to the occasional backfire, and RR is one of the rare turds that he shat out.

1: EVERYBODY'S GOT SOMETHING TO HIDE EXCEPT ME AND MY MONKEY: I won't pick on any of the other re-entries, but I'm not above picking on the same album. EGSTHEMAMM.... a cool rhythm, and the performance is tighter than a baby-T, but it sounds like something you'd hear from the Doobie Brothers, or Foghat (I think the culprit is that annoying shaken bell, and maybe George's guitar tone too).

Well, I'm not going to give the returning songs a free pass. I have a list and I'm sticking to it!

5: All You Need is Love- I can understand why people like this song but I can't stand it with the horns, cheesy lyrics and music video. I don't think there's a middle ground with this one.

I was referring to his work in the Beatles, but I'll agree that his career from about '74 forward is a bit stinky. Although, "Jet" and "Band on the Run" are great, imo.

I can't remember where "RR" was on my list when it got the boot, but it deserves five points compared with everything else on my ballot.

Big surprises this time! Never would think that Octopus' and, specially, Rocky Raccoon would return. And it's great to see the piggies coming back and justice being done with the 3 giants "The Long and Winding Road", "Drive My Car" and "All You Need Is Love", even though I still don't understand why this last is considered so good.

So finally Magical Mystery Tour appears in one list. Realizing, some weeks ago, that it hadn't already been voted was one of my biggest surprises here. So now I think that the only unexpectedly (at least for me) intact songs are Get Back and the White Album's Cry Baby Cry, Martha My Dear and Mother Nature Son. 2: Getting Better: I like the lyrics (particularly the humorous Lennon counterpoint “It can’t get no worse”), I like the ominous sitar low note on the “I used to be cruel to my woman” part, but maybe I’m voting to it for the rather bland beat.
