The Explorers Club

Today I've purchased what is probably gonna be my summer soundtrack album :
The Explorers Club - "Freedom Wind"

It's a band from South Carolina that sounds sooooo Californian, sooooooo Beach Boys (pre-"Pet Sounds" Beach Boys).
It's not original at all, you can say it's regressive pop but I like that so much !

Re: The Explorers Club

Viva la Internet! That's so crazy Dumbangel. You're French and you're discovering bands from South Carolina! South Carolina is known for producing Hootie and the Blowfish and Edwyn Mcain (sp?) and that's pretty much it, musically. (I'm sure there are some others that people can point out, but South Carolina is not known for its music. Anyway, that's really great.

Re: The Explorers Club

They should've called themselves The Early Wondermints..

Re: The Explorers Club

I'm glad that you like it, ChrisF.
I haven't "discovered" anything, this band just came out from my LastFm "Neighbour radio" and I instantly like the song I've heard from them.
It's not me that's gonna make you discover french music because I don't like that very much (except some artists like Air,Phoenix,M83 and Barth). I'm much into power-pop and harmony-pop that are music styles where french artists are bad.
