Ready for the next British hype? Another one of those back-to-the-80's-revival bands? Or is this gonna stay with us for a longer time?
Anyway, I'm talking of a new refreshing band from Oxford, called Foals. Their debut album, Antidotes, has a Bloc Partyish sound and it turns me, like Vampire Weekend, in a good mood instantly. Is that just because I'm an 80's music person, or is this actually really nice and pretty good?
I'm curious about your opinions, once you've heard them as well.
Haven't heard the album. But I was at their recent gig in Copenhagen, and that was quite enjoyable. The Bloc Party connection hadn't occurred to me, but having had it pointed out, I do see what you mean. Being truly innovative and original is hardly something that every band worth listening to is able to do, though.
