(Didn't the Auteurs have an album called New Wave?)

Re: Spin's Top 40

Finally, someone acknowledges that NEW MOON deserves to be considered a 2007 album. Let's hope some of the indie websites that'll be dropping lists next week follow suit as well.

Interesting list, especially in comparison with RS's. Most of the RS list's notable omissions (the National, Arctic Monkeys, Shins, Modest Mouse) are rectified here; it's also interesting to see AMERICAN GANGSTER on both top tens, indicating that it's destined to move up considerably from its current lowly position on Henrik's summary chart as the U.S. lists start pouring in (has AG been released in the U.K. yet?) The same goes for NEW WAVE, obviously.

Re: Spin's Top 40

Yeah, it's amazing to see that the Rolling Stone and Spin lists share eight albums in the top 10. That has to be a record, doesn't it? And even the two albums exclude from each top ten are included elsewhere in the opposite magazine's list.
