You just beat me to it, I was getting read to post this list. Glad to see Random Spirit Lover and The Stage Names be included but I still don't understand why The Reminder keeps getting ranked so high on these early lists.

I don't get it either. I guess every time the critics heard 1,2,3,4 they moved it one place up their list. I also don't get why Cassadaga is turning up in the top 40. That album is terrible.

Now that's a great top 3. Excellent list.

I just noticed something funny, Paste Magazine gave Boxer 3 stars when the album was released (60 on Metacritic) and now it's atop their EOY list.

that's just ONE critic that gave it 3 stars. This is ALL the critics from the magazine combined.

Yeah I know, but you'd figure they'd have at least some kind of unified sense of taste, otherwise I'd become a huge mess, no? They didn't even poll the guy who wrote the review.

They probably fired him. Now they'll say the review didn't count since the guy is no longer working for them.
