867-5309

It's a long story, but I am looking for pop songs that feature specific telephone numbers. I figured this group would be a great resource.

After Tommy Tutone, what else is out there?

Re: 867-5309

It's before the rock era, but there's always PEnnsylvania 6-5000 (736-5000). Glenn Miller baby!

Re: 867-5309

The Marvelettes recorded the catchy 1962 hit "Beechwood 4-5789", later remade by Wilson Pickett without the exchange as "634-5789".

The B-52's debut album contains "6060-842", in which Fred repeatedly dials the title number after seeing it on a wall promising "a very nice time" and freaks out because it's been disconnected. Just as I imagine everyone who actually had 606-0842 as a number also had to have it disconnected after the album came out. (The same thing definitely happened to 867-5309.)

Re: 867-5309

Alex Chilton, Wilson Pickett and a bunch of others have sung 634-5789. Written by Eddie Floyd.

Re: 867-5309

The Time has a delicious cut called "777-9311" which reads "seven, seven, seven, ninety three, eleven".
