Artist's Favorite Lists

Since we were talking about this in a post bellow, I thought I'd post lists from two of my favorite musicians. They're albums lists, not artists lists, but I think those are more interesting anyway, and I don't have their favorite artist's list at my disposal. I don't know if these are eligible for AM or not, I just thought others might be interested in them. If anyone else knows of any more of these lists (aside from the Elvis Costello one already included in Acclaimed Music) post them below if you don't mind, I'd love to see them.

Re: Artist's Favorite Lists

This raises an interesting issue. There's no reason why these lists shouldn't be included in AM but there's so many of them done in magazines all over the world on a regular basis and they're usually so insincere I wouldn't think that they would be appropriate.

Re: Artist's Favorite Lists

Terrific list from Tom Waits!!

Re: Artist's Favorite Lists

not terrific, but it's certainly very strange

Re: Artist's Favorite Lists

Well, I can change terrific for interesting or significant. A list including Sinatra, Captain Beefheart, “Bohemian-Moravian Bands”, Charlie Patton, Frank Zappa, “Exile on Main Street”, Lounge Lizards, “Prison Songs”, Thelonious Monk, Lenny Bruce and The Pogues gives you the perfect indication of how is the music of Tom Waits and why.
