are head-scratchers. I mean, Mary J. Blige's debut is good, and in a way set a template, but "changed the world?" Maybe parts of music, but not the world (or how it views/sees things).
Just imagine the UN Security Council listening to the VU & Nico and telling each other, "Can't we all get along?" -- that would be funny. Or, better yet, the world leaders all singing "Trans. Europe. Express."
Anyway, if either of those happens, I'll agree with this list
This was just in sunday's Review section (16th July) :
'50 years ago this month, the album chart has tracked the history of pop. But only a select few records actually altered the course of music. To mark the anniversary, Kitty Empire pays tribute to a sublime art form, and our panel of critics (7 in total) argues for 50 albums that caused a revolution.'

Only the albums in bold have been altered in Courier-Mail's list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously, this make the Courier-Mail list ineligible. I think it's about time the Aussies make their own lists.
What was that about global media corporations strangling diversity and opinion? The Murdoch owned Courier-Mail could've done better than copy a list from a Brit newspaper!
