Re: Dagsavisen (Norway): The 21 Best Albums of the 21st Century
This is one the worst lists I've ever seen. All those overhyped albums like "Speakerboxx/The Love Below" and "Elephant" are here, while truly great stuff was left out. And what are the Magnetic Fields doing there? 69 Love Songs were released in 1999 for crying out loud.

And any list with Håkan Hellström on it gets points from ME! (no idea what I'm talking about, I just like his name... might be some other defiant heir of Isildor, who knows........)
Re: Dagsavisen (Norway): The 21 Best Albums of the 21st Century
Well, the only album I think should absolutely be on the list is Radiohead's "Kid A" (and "Agaetis Byrjun, if you consider it a 2000 release). But my main complaint is not that they left out my personal favourites, but many of their picks are very unimpressive. Somebody please tell me what's so great about the White Stripes, because I fail to see it. Same for Outkast (Stankonia is much better) or Coldplay. The Flaming Lips rule though.
Re: Dagsavisen (Norway): The 21 Best Albums of the 21st Century
White Blood Cells is a great album that is stuffed with anthemic, incisive, and emotional songs. And it has some of the most visceral sonics of the decade despite the basic blues palette. Listen to that first feedback squeal into Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground and you are hooked in anticipation of the coming explosion. They did it simple, and they did it right.
Re: Dagsavisen (Norway): The 21 Best Albums of the 21st Century
First list to not have any of the big three. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the only one too. I guess these 21 are better than Funeral, Kid A, Is This It, and YHF :(.
