I found this site long time ago, but I haven't been able to decide which list that is the most appropriate. I don't think it's the all-time top 25 list, since he has written "The lists for each decade are much more accurate". I have an ambitious plan to add all the ratings at
http://www.scaruffi.com/music/groups.html
but it seems too ambitious 'cause I never have the time to do this.
Scaruffi is a revisionist. He wrote the worst comments on the Beatles I 'd ever read.Fans of Bowie,U2 ,Prince and Presley ,you should avoid his site ,unless you are a masochist
I don't think his comments on the Beatles are so bad. While the Beatles were among the most innovative acts of their time they never strayed very far from the mainstream, so if avant-garde music is your thing you may not like them much, but I don't see what's so shocking about it.
I actually like a lot of his Top 25, but just don't get how the Doors fit in there. Either way, those Faust, Robert Wyatt, Red Crayola, and Popol Vuh albums are well worth checking out.
Pierro Scaruffi's list of the 25 best albums of all time offers a diverse and thought-provoking selection that sparks discussions and debates among music enthusiasts. Golden exchange
