With the new site update and the Americans on the boat I think it's time to create Spotify playlists for each year. A Spotify link on each year-list page would really improve AM's usability.
Since it is something that every Spotify user can do, I would be very grateful to get help with the playlists. As soon as someone has created a playlist you can post the link here in this thread and then I'll add it to the main AM site. Thanks in advance!

1. I was thinking the full list or everything in the top 3000, by year. Then of course it would be great to have all-time and decade lists as well, but I suggest we start year by year.
3. When you have created a playlist you can right-click on the title and choose "copy http address" (or something similar, I don't have access to Spotify right now).

Ok, I see it.
Here's 1966
Some of the songs (mostly The Beatles and Kinks) weren't there, so I supplemented them with crappy covers.
Someone else will have to smooth those out.
Crappy covers is not a good idea IMO. It's better to skip those songs.
Can other users edit the playlist, or would they have to redo they whole thing?
It's easy to copy and paste to another playlist. I think I will do that so I have the whole library on my account, if you don't mind. You can also choose to make playlists collaborative.
I have created links on each of these year pages. I think this is great!
I have made my own copies of the playlists and replaced two songs with new links because the old one wasn't available in Sweden. It's Santigold's "L.E.S. Artistes" (my new link goes to Santogold...) in the 2008 list and 13th Floor Elevators' "You're Gonna Miss Me" in the 1966 list. Could you guys check if my new songs are available where you are? If not, I'll probably have two rows for these songs, with one of them working depending on where you live.
