There's almost no way "The Suburbs" will be higher than number 34 of all time in the next albums update. However, "The Suburbs" probably will be in the top 200.

As for "MBDFT", I don't think that it will rank higher than "The College Dropout " initially, but I'm pretty that at the end of the decade it will be. As for the next albums update, I think "MBDTF" will rank around number 300 or so.

A better question is where will Arcade Fire and Kanye West rank overall on the artists list once the 2010 singles and albums have been taken into account? I think Arcade Fire will be somewhere in the 70's, while Kanye will be in the 60's or even the 50's.

I'm predicting The Suburbs will wind up in 150-199 range and Dark Fantasy roughly in the 325-350 range. I see Dark Fantasy gaining over the years, where as The Suburbs has the chance of waning (remember, Neon Bible used to be in the top 200 of all time, too.)

As for artist rankings, it's tough to say. There are so many song lists being added, that it could really shake up the rankings. I'll go out on a limb and say 64 for the Arcade Fire and 57 for Kanye West.

Isn't this update songs only?

If not, the only "The Suburbs" will pass "Funeral" on the list is if "Funeral" has a drastic drop in position. There is no way an album 1 year old will gain that insane kind of ground. I'm not even sure if that would be possible if the album was ranked 1 on every single EOY list.
As for MBDTF, I think it will eventually become Kanye's top album (2013 update, maybe).

I still think the only reason The Suburbs beat out MBDTF in the EOY spreadsheet is because Kanye came out too late in the year. I'd be fine with T200 for Kanye, but The Suburbs should be nowhere to be found in the top 500.

FYI- I believe the next update will include only songs/tracks lists. Perhaps the one thereafter will add 2010/2011 albums.

My guess, AMF Poll: Suburbs #150 Everybody Look At My Beautiful Dark Twisted Self #80.

AM list: Suburbs ~250, Kanye ~150

I think it will rank higher than College Dropout at first, then fall lower than College Dropout when Kanye's face falls off the news radar and critics start judging it based on the music.

Two 8/10s, not as good as High Violet or Archandroid.

I actually don't think MBDTF will rank higher than College Dropout when the 2010 albums are included. #217 is a tall task for an album that finished third in its own year's year-end lists and hasn't appeared on a decade list yet. The College Dropout has appeared on, like, 50 decade lists, so it's got quite the head start. By mid-decade we may see a shift as critics make 2010-2014 lists and possibly decide it's time to weigh in on their top albums of all time.

There's no way The Suburbs ever touches Funeral. Not just any old album reaches the top 50. I'd expect to see it start out somewhere around Neon Bible, maybe a little higher. This may be more of a personal wish than an honest prognostication, but I think its highest position will be in the next update and then it will fall as the decade continues.

Both spot on. I think Dark Fantasy will rank right between College Dropout and Late Registration, but then will gain position over the years, and eventually be recognized as his top album.

The Suburbs is a great album, but I don't think we'll be viewing it as a major work in 10 years. It's probably going to wind up with "Other great album" status, and like In Utero, White Blood Cells, and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, will rank 100 spots below their masterwork.
