Every song from “In Rainbows” received at least one vote on our Top 20s (except the brief but beautiful, Nick-Drake-styled, “Faust Arp”). I would have expected “15 Step” or “Jigsaw Falling into Place” getting into the Top 10 but the inclusion of “Reckoner” instead look quite surprising to me.

On a side note, it’s quite sad that any Vampire Weekend song finally broke into the Top 10 (while their first album got serious options to go to the #1 of 2008, with permission from Fleet Foxes). Probably the dispersion of votes between the different songs (“A-Punk”, “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa”, “M79”, “Mansard Roof” and “Oxford Comma” received votes), I just hope that nobody got confused about the date releases, Petri made it absolutely clear.

Alright, I voted for most of the top ten songs, but this is ridiculous. This song is so good!

But great showing for "The Past Is a Grotesque Animal," and Panda Bear>Wilco was an excellent result.

This is the best result of the poll! But to each his own.

I agree about Vampire Weekend - their debut is one of the best singles album of the decade, so it's weird not to have a single representative in the final. Unfortunately, I don't think a consensus has been reached among their contenders, which leads to a lot of vote splitting.

I was hoping there'd be at least one unpitchforkly correct album passing through, but I'm afraid that's not gonna happen until the end of that decade poll

^Oracular Spectacular made the cut, Pitchfork didn't exactly love that album.

I don't think it's being 'Pitchforkly correct' that's important so much as 'Critically correct'. Keep in mind the White Stripes easily got two albums through, and Pitchfork hates them.

But, the ones near the top of the AM list have a huge advantage, because people start their exploration from the top and go down rather than a more directed search to the sort of music more fitting their individual tastes.

Though I don't agree with nicolas either, Elephant was 84th and White Blood Cells 12th on Pitchfork's end of decade list.

On our list I would only call All That You Can't Leave Behind, Back to Black and Oracular Spectacular (and maybe Dear Catastrophe Waitress) "UnPitchforkly correct", but I'm also pretty sure that if they had liked MGMT, lot of people would have gone "hey, that's typically the kind of hipster music Pitchfork always go for".
But it is not our fault if Pitchfork liked most of the best albums of the decade.

And well, some albums really loved by the fork did not make our final list, and by far : Sung Tongs, Madvillainy, Endless Summer, Geogaddi, Rooty... did not stand any serious chance here.

Edit : forgot about Coldplay, THAT'S unpitchforkly correct.
