The year of Sufjan and Illinois. In albums the gap between #1 and #2 is one of the biggest in our album poll history. Also I don't remember that any other artist has taken three first places in the song list. 11 different Sufjan songs got points.

It is one of the biggest for sure. In the 1997 poll OK Computer beat out LAGWAFIS 1376-530 (Also of note, Radiohead contained numbers 1, 3, 5, and 7 on the songs list).

I just discovered a fabulous album of 2005 by the band Washington. The album is "A New Order Rising" and all the songs are somptuous.
