Revolver- One of the best album I've ever heard. Purple Rain is great too, but Revolver is like a trip through the 60's, exilerating from start to finish.
Darkness on the Edge of Town- Just picked this one up earlier in the week, and I like it. Not my favorie Boss album (Born in the USA), but still pretty good. To confirm my decision, I still don't really like Exile a lot, and Clarence Clemons recently died.
Blonde on Blonde- Both these albums seem to drag on, but Blonde on Blonde has a lot more stellar tracks.
Ziggy Stardusy-
Led Zeppelin IV- My favorite album of all time against my least favorite of Jimi's three monsters.
OK Computer- Extremely overrated on the forum, but still not close.
In Utero- Nevermind "Nevermind", In Utero is the best thing Nirvana ever did.
Songs in the Key of Life- Both great albums from Motown, Stevie's a little better.
Automatic foe the People- Drive, Nightswimming, Man on the Moon...great stuff. I'm not a big fan of psychadelic Floyd.
Joshua Tree- Every time I see that "Exodus" is Marley's third best album on AM, I die a little inside.
London Calling- Both good, The Clash album has a slight edge.
After the Goldrush- Aside from This Charming Man, the Smiths debut isn't all its hyped up to be.
Pass- Never really got into either a lot. May come back to this one after a re-listen to each album.
Pass- If I can find Sex Machine on youtube or rhapsody, I'll come back and vote.
Off the Wall- MJ doesn't put me to sleep.
Pass- If I re-listen to these, I'll vote later in the week.
Pass- See above comment.
Doors- Too good to pass up. (Sorry, CCR)
Doolittle- I don't really like Kraftwerk. At all.
Otis Blue- Smooth soul for the soul.
Transformer- The Ramones really aren't an albums band.
Pass- Need to listen to Roxy Music again before I vote.
Whtie Blood Cells- It's hard to beat the Stripes ass kickin' guitar riffs.
Pass- Another album to re-listen to.

But are ties allowed ? I mean for albums that are extremly close to each other in my alltime list, I could post a tie. Can I do that ? thanks in advance
thanks Schwah for yr quick answer but I didn't mean that. See my edited post above
I'll vote in matchups where I've heard both albums. I may revisit if I have a chance.

The Beatles (Revolver) vs. Prince (Purple Rain) - Beatles, forgive me... two years ago these were my #4 and #6 albums of all time. And I still have the Prince album on top.
The Rolling Stones (Exile Main Street) vs. Bruce Springsteen (Darkness Edge of Town) - Both not my favorites of theirs, but Exile is more ofa disappointment overall.
Bob Dylan (Blonde on Blonde) vs. The Who (Tommy) - I can't let Tommy go.
David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust) vs. Elvis Presley (From Elvis in Memphis) - No contest.
Led Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin IV) vs. Jimi Hendrix (Electric Ladyland)
Radiohead (OK Computer) vs. The Beach Boys (Surf’s Up!)
ARENA DIVISION
The Velvet Underground (The Velvet Underground and Nico) vs. Nirvana (In Utero)
Marvin Gaye (What’s Going On) vs. Stevie Wonder (Songs in the Key of Life) - Overall, Stevie is much better, but this one album of Marvin's beats this one album of Wonder's.
R.E.M. (Automatic for the People) vs. Pink Floyd (Piper at the Gates of Dawn) - Two incredibly overrated albums, but Automatic still wins handily.
U2 (The Joshua Tree) vs. Bob Marley (Catch a Fire)
The Clash (London Calling) vs. Elvis Costello (This Year’s Model)

Great game idea, boy! I wasn't expecting something nearly as funny as this!
Rocky, isn't This Year's Model Costello most acclaimed album? I think the album that should face London Calling is (unhappily) My Aim Is True, isn't it?

Sorry for all the passes...
I have slightly tweaked the scoring to keep it a little lower and more in-keeping with soccer. Here is the new scale:
The score of a game will be based on the loser’s vote total on this scale: 0-4 votes (0 goals) / 5-8 votes (1 goal) / 9-11 votes (2 goals) / 12-14 votes (3 goals) / 15-18 votes (4 goals) / 19 votes or more (5 goals). The winner will get one more goal that its opponent for every three votes it has more.

I wish real soccer had this many goals (nowadays).
yeah, me too. Actually I'm afraid there are less than half as many goals scored in real life football.
Average goals per match in the main championships
Holland 3.26
Ger 2.92
England 2.8
Spain 2.74
Brazil 2.69
Italy 2.51
USA 2.43
Portugal 2.43
France 2.34
Russia 2.3 ( I had to find one )
That's kind of the way all World Cup and championships are aren't they? With elite defenders and goalies, and a more cautious approach it's kind of a different game than club level from my understanding.
Yep. God if it wasn't for that Germany team, the 2010 WC would have been a snoozefest of 1-0s.
Statistics for WC
SA 2010 2.28
Ger 2006 2.3
Jap/Kor 2002 2.52
Fra 1998 2.67
USA 1994 2.71
Ita 1990 2.21
You have to go back to 1958 to find a ratio above 3.
So it's even worse than club stats.
