AMF World Cup (Home Page)

Welcome to the 2011 AMF World Cup!

The basic rules of the game:
1- Artists will be put in “pools” based on their AM rank (in the event two artists are unranked, random.org will be used).
2- There will be two brackets, each containing eight pools. One bracket will be the AM top 32, the other will be user-selected artists.
3- Each artist will have an “owner” from the forum.
4- AMF users can select artists they wish to “own” in the Drafting Thread
5- Owners select a song by their artist to use for one match up.
6- Owners cannot use the same song for multiple matchups.
7- Each match up lasts one week.
8- For weeks 1-6, artists face every other artist within their pool (16 matchups each week), with the top two artists advancing from each pool.
9- Artists advance based on record. If artists are tied with records, then “goals” (votes) are used. If artists are tied with “goals”, their head-to-head results are used.
10- After the pool round, each week is single elimination.
11- The winner of each bracket will face off for the AMF World Cup

Re: AMF World Cup (Home Page)

Small nitpick, in the World Cup doesn't goal difference come before goals scored for tiebreaks?

So, a team with 3 for, 0 against will beat a team with 4 for, 2 against, but a team with 5 for, 2 against will beat a team with 4 for, 1 against.

True. I guess the oreder should go:
-Wins
-Goal Difference
-Goals
-Head-to-head
