The third stop on the Acclaimed Music World Tour will be in the City of Roses, Portland, Oregon.
***I know I stated last week that this week's round would be Seattle. I originally thought that we would cover the entire Pacific Northwest in one round, but upon further examination I've decided that Portland merits its own round, as many AMF favorites hail from the city.***
The rules are as follows:
In voting for this week's HEADLINER, voters have 10 points to distribute among as many artists as they like, with a maximum of 6 points for any one artist. The artist with the most points will be the HEADLINER while the runner-up will take the position of OPENING ACT.
In voting for this week's SET LIST, voters have 25 points to distribute among as many songs as they like, with a maximum of 12 points for any one song. The top ten songs will be played at this week's show.
Remember that the artists or songs that you choose should be associated with Portland, Oregon or locations nearby in some way.
Voting will end at 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2011.

You may of course vote for any artist or song you like provided they have some connection to Portland. Songs can be about Portland, they can be written by an artist from Portland or any other link you can draw to the city or its surroundings.
In a past life Portland's venue was a different kind of theater; the entertainment was nudie films, not rock bands. Nowadays, however, the ALADDIN THEATER is one of Portland's premier venues, hosting locals like Sleater-Kinney and Everclear as well as a bevy of national acts.
That was my initial reaction when I saw Portland was getting a week.
But, looking at the list, I guess they deserve it.

Myself and one other are the only ones not to vote for Elliott Smith. Is this why I haven't got my hipster card in the mail? I do not get it when it comes to Elliott, I found his albums to be boring and ordinary. Either I need to relisten to him or chalk this up to one of life's mysteries.
