#6 Green Day (They did sound fantastic in 1994, before dry rot began to set in. And Live is just awful.)

The criteria I used to rank from 1 - 1024 was completed back in November, so it really doesn't take MBDTF into account. Perhaps Kanye is a darkhorse as a #3 seed???

I liked Linkin Park as a teenager. ...Until I saw them in concert. Their act consists of taking turns rapping badly over loops. They played one song that wasn't on their album, and they apologized for it. I saw them for what they were that day.

Slick, you might have mentioned this before but how were the artists seeded? I only ask because I noticed Modest Mouse is a full 100 spots ahead of Moby on the AM artist list.

There was a scoring system set up that used points from last years UMT results, AM Ranking and from about 30 or so top 100 artist list sent in from both AM and non-Am people who participate in the voting.

The resulting points for each artist was ranked from 1 - 1024. Then were placed in 4 regions (8 brackets each) based loosely around which decade the artist debuted in.

It seemed like an interesting way to switch up the tourney a little.

#9 Modest Mouse - I've grown to dislike Moby over the past few years, though I do like a few songs still.
#5 TV On The Radio - I own the 1st 2 Linkin Park albums, that doesn't mean I listen to them.

#3 Kanye - 30STM is kind of a guilty pleasure, but it's Kanye...
#11 Live - I will admit, always liked this band... still do. Green Day annoys the piss out of me, had this band hung it up in say 2000, I may still like them. Occasionally I have the radio on while driving and in Milwaukee there is a great radio station (88.9 Radio Milwaukee / check it out online, AMers would love it) that occasionally plays a bad song or three. I will switch to the local mainstream alternative station which will undoubtably play eith Green Day or Linkin Park within 10 minutes of listening, instant station flip!!!

TVOTR vs Linkin Park...
AM - 22-1
Non-AM - 1-8

3 or 4 regular non-AM voters did not vote in this matchup, my guess is it would have been 2-2 since 2 of them vote more in line with AM and the other 2 may not be as familiar with artists like TV on the Radio.

There are 19 people that are fairly knowledgeable music fans that I send e-mails to everyday that also participate in this tournament.
