Re: Unacclaimed Week 3

Oh no! too late!

I'm never late for poll deadlines!

Re: Unacclaimed Week 3

Moonbeam

Dressy Bessy - "California": 10
Mando Diao - "Dance With Somebody": 9

I got the short end of the stick on this one.

Re: Unacclaimed Week 3

I'm late but it doesn't matter : all mychampiosn made it !!

1. The Who : Eminence front
I had never heard 80’s material from the Who. The production is great, but Daltrey’s voice was fading I guess. Good song anyway.

2. Dressy Bessy : California
A pleasant pop song. Dance with Somebody is good too but a little too slick.

3. The Verlaines “Death and the Maiden”
Good surprise to hear Buckley singing a song that sounds like Otis Redding, but I really prefer the Verlaines, both the song with its great chord progression in the verses and fantastic organ break, not to mention the delicious garage sound

4. No doubt “New”
Maybe it was the headache (two many different wines yesterday night) but the Nirvana demo didn’t make it for me. So by default I’ll vote for No Doubt

I am pretty sure that it's Townsend on vocals for Eminence Front

Re: Unacclaimed Week 3

Good point Henry

So that is why the vocals sounded so unfamiliar...
