Until a couple of days ago, after the last mediocre score for Gorillaz, The National peaked at # 01, followed by Flying Lotus and Gorillaz. Then The National got a mediocre score, and slipped to # 02.The new MEGA-CRITIC # 01 is Flying Lotus.

In EU John Grant is new at # 01, ex aequo with Yeasayer. The UK´s the new # 01 is Anais Mitchell and in the US Sleigh Bells shot to # 01.

According to Any Decent Music Q Magazine and the Irish Times reviewed the album, so maybe it is being ignored... huge mistake if this is true

And guess what: Mojo just gave 2 stars to the Archandroid, here's hoping the other brits don't feel that way.

I want to see the M.I.A. reception at first, then i will decide if i'll pick her or Best Coast (i loved her lead single Boyfriend, kinda reminded me of Liz Phair back in the day) as the highest new entry.

My pick missed second place by .1 points!!

I think the next biggest candidate for #1 is Big Boi. But I haven't seen any reviews yet.

Having listened to both M.I.A and Big Boi I think Big Boi has the better chance of getting #1 for the month, but it's no OutKast so I'll just make it a tentative #10 for Big Boi.

Pitchfork gave 4.4 to M.I.A's new album and PopMatters a similar 5, Uncut gave 2 stars. that's why i wanted to wait to see the overall reception, cause she made such a huge noise before the release, she was following up not one, but two of last decade's greatest albums and after i heard the leak, i had to see how people would react before betting. So i'll wait a little before bettin', cause i found out that Best Coast is coming at the end of the month, so it won't have enough scores to have a nice debut. The highest entry is easily Big Boi, we just need to find out the second, maybe Perfume Genius?

Yeah, at this point I'm definitely going to change to something. But I still don't want to pick Big Boi because I would have to get the position almost exactly right. I'll wait until the clues.

Although now I really want to like the new M.I.A. just because it pisses me off that all the hipster publications are complaining it's not pop enough. It's like 'We like weird, but only when weird just means pop with distortion and no chorus! We don't want stuff that's *actually* different!'
