1. Bob Dylan - Veckatimest is my no1 album from 2009 - but seriously it's Bob Dylan who has well at least 4 albums better than it.
Johnny Nash - for a while there I thought it was Johnny Cash and I thought to myself, "easy win for Cash" and then I reread it and thought, hang on, Nash? Still a quick wikipedia search proved that it wasn't a typo and showed that he had also sung "I Can See Clearly Now", a song which is better than anything that RATM did.

#9 Chic - Incredible musicians. Great artist. Burke is not bad at all, but not in the same class.
#12 Naughty By Nature - Despite my love for Roddy Bottum's Imperial Teen, I never liked anything from Faith No More. But, boy, how many times in my life hae I danced to O.P.P.?
#4 Rage Against The Machine - "I Can See Clearly Now" not good enough to take out Rage, despite some qualms about their music. I do really like Morello, though.
#3 Motley Crue - I have some residual feelings for Shout at the Devil, which I heard a lot of in the mid-90's. The only hair metal band that I can stand even a little.
#11 John Fogerty - Mostly because Korn doesn't do much for me, and I think it's hilarious that he was sued for plagarizing himself.
#10 Fountains Of Wayne - Sadly, the Great Recession killed off the original Fountains of Wayne, which I pass on my way to work.
