First off, my initial impression was that there were a lot of upsets in the tourney, so I calculated wins/losses/ties per seed (through 34 brackets):

I still wonder how many people are just voting for the band they've heard over the band they didn't know existed.
Out of the 50+ people who have participated, I usually get somewhere between 25-32 voters per matchup and almost all of them are very knowlegable.
To my knowledge, there's never been a rule stated to disparage voting this way.
